Only scored 3 goals for Burnley this season. Reckon Newcastle have done them a favour tbh

Hendo Proper shithousing if so  Although giving Burnely £25m, may come back to bite Newcastle in the arse.

Yeah, if they spend it wisely that could be one of the two auto-promotion places gone next season.

Not sure that this is what Newcastle fans had in mind when the new owners came in.

Part of me thinks they've done it mainly to weaken a relegation rival, rather than anything else

Would be jokes if Burnley sign Andy Carroll as a replacement and he sends Newcastle down.

Jagjielka's contract cancelled by Derby's administrators. Good news for others at the bottom of the Champ.

Sounds like he is off to Stoke

Winston Biscuit Chris Wood completes his £25M transfer to Newcastle.

Beheaddie Howe bringing in the big guns

It is really odd. There are a number of pretty decent forwards in England and Europe that you could pick up for between £25m-£40m. When were Newcastle taken over? November? They have had that amount of time to get a proper scouting system in place and indentify targets to help them fight relegation and Chris Wood is the best they could come up with?

I guess at 30 years old he can fill his boots in the Championship for 2 years whilst pocketing £100k a week.

Brentford to offer Christian Eriksen a six month deal as he seeks to make a comeback to top flight football. Which is mad, and I guess a tribute to science, just seven months after having a heart attack on the pitch.

£25m for Chris Wood

£10m probably an ok bit of business but £25m - Burnley really wanted to make sure they made Newcastle pay in case they got pipped to safety by them.

Wasn’t it a release clause ?
If so, no negotiation

Diego Carlos, a centre back, plays for Sevilla. They are second in La Liga. Carlos has played in more than half of his team's league games this season and all six of their Champions League matches, missing some only through injury. And he, apparently, wants to join Newcastle. Game is gone.

One of the most overrated players in the Premier League. Other than pace, he is garbage.

Agreed. Crap defensively and his assists are shocking for someone with so much pace and good feet. Wolves really should be as good as it gets for him.

I think the idea would be he's converted to a wing-back. Let's not forget Conte turned Victor Moses into a title-winning wing back

Pfff. Can't these players get an imagination?

Still a chance Haaland just goes to Bayern.
