TBM I know it's nice to see a "new" team doing well etc but my word Atletico play boring football, reminds me of how Inter won it or Chelsea the other year. 10 men behind the ball and the look for that 1 counter attack.

Affective - yes
Attractive - no

And as I have no ties with any of the clubs left I want probably Real to win it simply cos they are better to watch.

*Effective

Royalclapper Amazes me every time the golden boy of English football Rooney fukks up the commentators can't make excuses quick enough to bail him out - twice tonight he choked when in a dangerous position inside the area. I know the players do make errors but come of it with the lame attempts from Rooney.

Funny how Bayern Munich are touted about as the best side in football yet so often they rely on the same old thing, close game...close game....last 15/20 mins and Robben now gets more time and space so give it him = goal, game over. If I was the opposition manager I'd put on a pacey full back for the last 30 mins to help shackle the danger and make them work for it.

So the first bit shows how little you know about football, and the second bit shows why you aren't a football manager. Cheers for your insights anyway.

And what would your tactical plan have been at 1-1 when the tie was in the balance as the away side? Mine as stated would have been to sub Evra off (great goal though) for Buttner and try to stifle the most obvious creative source of goals (especially without Schweinsteiger) and defend what they had - attempt to take it to pens and it's anyone's game (it's all ifs mind you).

I'm damned if I'd leave a tiring full back on who was ready to be exploited when I had a fresh player ready to come on who had previously done a decent job in the first leg.

You do realize that it would of gone to extra time meaning you would of been playing Buttner for 60 odd minutes, and whats to stop them just switching robben to the opposite wing to harass that tired full back, never mind there being Ribery and Muller and Manduzick* on the pitch to take care of, at 1-1 I would of done exactly what Moyes had done all game that and that was stick with what was working but its pretty much impossible to tell how you should play it against the best side in the world.

And for Robbens goal its Vidic at cb that gets skinned so if you want Buttner/Evra to track them all the way into that postion leaving the full back spot wide open then you would of lost by alot more goals.

Doesn't really matter what the draw is now does it? Jose has already bagged the most semi finals trophy
