This is the Oldham Athletic who issued a statement on 1st December saying they will NOT be inviting Ched Evans to train with them and neither would they be offering him a contract.

Reading between the not very subtle lines, I expect Berahino will be on this way this transfer window.

West Brom striker Saido Berahino has said he was acting "professionally" by not celebrating his four-goal haul in the FA Cup win against Gateshead.
Berahino, 21, scored an 11-minute hat-trick before grabbing his fourth in West Brom's 7-0 win in the third round.
"I was just handling business and acting professionally and that's it," said Berahino, who has been linked with a January move away from the club.
"There's no need for me to explain myself on not celebrating goals."

He's a funny one Berahino.

There's obviously some kind of attitude issue bubbling under the surface with him and he needs constant reminding that he needs to knuckle down and work hard to make the most of his talent.

The obvious move would be for Liverpool to snap him up as he's the mobile type f forward they've sorely been lacking this season. Being a smaller fish in a bigger pond, with real competition for places and more of a target to achieve than avoiding relegation, might be just what he needs too.

Brentford sign Lewis MacLeod from Rangers - a steal at less than a million, and they've beaten a number of Premier League clubs to him.

What a total prick. This is modern football right there. "I was acting professionally"

I saw "Sunday Brunch" on C4 on, er, Sunday. Jimmy Bullard was on there and said:

"When I played I saw players treat it all too seriously ... Now it's even worse. They don't even seem to enjoy themselves".

Yes it's a business and a highly paid, intense game. But what he's saying here is just total rubbish. Hes a highly paid 21 year old, worked hard at football, he's made it to a pro level, scoring 4 goals and doesn't even crack a smile. Nice

When Berahino's drunk driving case due in court? Can't see anyone buying him whilst that's unresolved in case it ends up being worse than a driving ban and a fine.

Unlikely to be as he didn't crash/harm anyone.

Looks likely Bony is going to join Man City for around £30m.

Assuming they might have to offload some players due to FFP if this move goes ahead.

They'll be alright. Air Etihad have just given Michel Platini a shiny new watch and the Abu Dhabi Sanitation Dept have started sponsoring the Eastlands bogs for £250m a year.

Apologies if said but I heard Berahino gave it the big bollocks when on England duty and everyone was embarrassed by him hence Roy banishing him on the day. Won't be picked again for awhile.

Scored more Premier League goals than anyone in 2014. He's as good a finisher as there is in my opinion, never seems to panic in front of goal. Of course it could turn out that the set up at Swansea suits him in a way that he won't find elsewhere but I've been impressed pretty much every time I've seen him.

Bony had a trial at Liverpool in 2007 but they chose not to sign him, oh how they wish they had him these days

When did we start measuring achievments in english football by calender year?

Things are usually measured over a season for a reason. It is about endurance and how you fare throughout a season dealing with all kinds of weather and shedule difficulties. Not how well you do with a nice cushy break in the middle.
