I will start with Mexico. I love it when you see a map of football where one (or 2) clubs are miles away from everyone else

Fans of Club Tijuana have some lengthy away days

I have a current professional footballer from Mexico who plays for the Saturday team I manage. He was born here but has Mexican parents and has lived there most of his life. He came over here for two years to study along with going back to Mexico periodically to play for his sides youth team. He wasn't quite aware of how shit we are or the level we play at, he just knew it was close to Reading which is the only town he is familiar with here.

Indeed, you need to watch Narcos, NStP.

I've decided to be a Club Deportivo Veracruz supporter, for the shark on their badge. Their nickname is 'Tiburones Rojos', meaning red sharks.

@ Winst, can you stay in central and southern America please, in part because my geographical knowledge of these countries is appalling.

Deffo having a focus on South America. Trying to get a good one of Chile at the moment in the hope that there is a club at the top and one at the bottom!

Portugal seems an interesting one with how they are grouped together

Am assuming this is about topography and demographic - isn't central Portugal mainly mountains, goats, mountain goats, and old people?

As a geographic tangent, Tromso IL is the northernmost football club in the top tier of its league, and also the northernmost club to have won a national title, having won the Norwegian Cup twice, the last time in 1996. The island of Tromso is located 350km within the Arctic Circle.

was reading yesterday about the mid 00's when Luch Vladivostock got up to the Russian Premier League. Looked back through the seasons hoping the team from Kaliningrad were there but alas not, making the further away trip Zenit who are near the Finish border, 7(?) time zones away

I play 5-a-side for a Mexican team. The group chat is in Spanish and they just refer to me as "the English".

Club Tijuana (that's the one in Baja) have a club badge that is the founder's (Jorge Hank) hairless Xoloitzcuintle, Hermoso.
