Still remarkably tight in the Championship playoff race, with Millwall in 13th and only six points behind West Brom in 6th. Eight teams fighting for two spots, with Sunderland 12 clear of 5th.

The Leeds bottle job continues apace. 1 win in 6 for the self proclaimed best Championship side ever.

If Leeds stay down that will get attention, but the bottle job of the season and indeed one for the ages could be Walsall in L2, who I still haven't forgiven for breaking my 11 year old heart in 2001.

After 25 games, they were 12 points clear at the top and 15 points clear of the play offs. Since then, it has been W2, D8, L6 which is 14 points from 16 games; barely survival form. They have been knocked off the top today and automatic promotion is out of their own hands, with Doncaster 2 points behind in 4th having played a game less. On current form you wouldn't back them.

United's U18s beat them 13-1 the other day. We have a 14 year old prospect who scored twice

Fair play to Burton. Bottom of the table and looking in a terrible state at the half way point. They've lost just 5 games in the 2nd half of the season and are now 3 points from safety with a game in hand and a better GD.

Need to take it to the end, then the EFL won't dare suspend our game at Rovers and give them a walkover.

Winston Biscuit Southampton relegated

First ever relegated with seven matches still to play - and still two points off Derby's worst ever points total.

1 point to equal it, but 2 points from bettering it, 0 points from taking the record

Or something like that

And so Southampton claim a PL record in the process.

Winston Biscuit Shef Utd:
Oxford (a)
Millwall (h)
Plymouth (a)
Cardiff (h)
Burnley (a)
Stoke (a)
Blackburn (h)

Leeds:
Luton (a)
Middlesbrough (a)
Preston (h)
Oxford (a)
Stoke (h)
Bristol City (h)
Plymouth (a)

Burnley:
Coventry (a)
Derby (a)
Norwich (h)
Watford (a)
Shef Utd (h)
QPR (a)
Millwall (h)

With a 2 point lead now, and a pretty easy run in (aside from that Burnley game), Shef Utd really should do it from here. Burnley with the tougher of the 3 fixtures i reckon.

of course Shef Utd go and lose their next 2 games

Sheff Utd have just lost their 3rd game in a row, pretty much confirming promotion for Burnley and Leeds.
