papereyes Genuinely dislike Chelsea - its almost as if they don't understand how they are now successful.

Liverpool = LOLLERpool frankly

Deep respect for United (domination then managing to keep going when many, including me, wrote them off when the Glazers took over) and Arsenal (Good football, cheaply assembled).

This, plus brought up as an Arsenal fan because of my Grandad, but let local side/plasticity take hold when I could afford to got to games.

Great effort from Chelsea. Humiliation for the Arse. Decent effort from Liverpool considering they have been rubbish for 18 months. Worrying for Utd. Could they be about to enter the 'national treasure' stage? Fergie will have to gee them up a bit.

Not really. It's like asking to vote on wether you'd rather have AIDS than Ricketts.

Chelsea. New money, no class.

Outside of the traditional big 4 I have the same low regard for Man City and Crawley Town

When I were a lad it would probably have been the big 5.5 - Utd, City, Leeds, Everton, Liverpool and maybe Spurs. But no one would have thought about it.

edit - can't count

Yeah don't really dislike any of them that much, if there's nothing else on I'll watch whoever against a European side.

In terms of experience of going to watch them live I've not been to Anfield yet but there others were very much as you'd expect. I guess Chelsea had the loudest fans. Arsenal seem to run their affairs most sensibly, Man Utd most entertaining to watch.

You meet so many plastic fans of the big four that actually going along is a bit uninspiring to be honest.

Don't quite know how to answer this 'un, as I've got two running neck and neck

One owing to a long-standing general aversion to what I consider the McDonald's of football clubs (to say nothing of their "fans" the worLOLd over who subscribe to the mysterious notion that their abiding "support" somehow makes their own dicks bigger)

The other as sheer arrivistes straight out of the gutter

Can't split 'em

I hate Chelsea. Chavvy, arrogant fans completely unaware that the only reason they're mixing it with the best is due to Abrahmovic. Dirty team when I was growing up too, with players like Wise, Vinny Jones and Jody Morris. Loads of kids at school supported them when they should have supported their local team (ie us), and they were massively cocky about it. I'd be positively delighted if Abrahmovic left and they were put out of business.

I'm neutral about Liverpool, I don't have any real problem with them.

I do quite like Man Utd as they have represented us well in Europe for years, tried to play attractive football and genuinely are a big club who have earned their success, not like Chavski. Biggest downer is their cocky home counties fans. SAF can be irritating but he's a great manager and it's harsh to moan at him for being a bad loser.

Arsenal are my favourite simply because any genuine football fan (maybe not Spurs or Man Utd) could watch them play football for hours and enjoy it. They play good football to watch, they're helping English football adapt to the international game. They don't make many big headline signings, they quietly go about brining in youngsters and turning them into great players.

I also feel like if England are ever going to have a top class team, it will have to include a good crop of Arsenal youngsters unless more clubs copy their development model. As things stand, Arsenal are our best hope. Cole is arguably England's best current player and there's hope that Wilshere will be world class in the future. I really hope Arsenal get the Chamberlain kid; our best chance of him developing into a world class winger is under Wenger at Arsenal. Shame Walcott isn't there yet but I'm still not ruling it out.

I'm beginning to understand glory supporters a little more. Whenever I watch Barcelona or Arsenal play I want them to win because of the football they play and the mindset of their club. Of course I'm still a Reading fan but I definitely respect clubs who try to build those sorts of models.

Chelsea were merely a London based Aston Villa or Leicester before Abramovich.

If a club has won the F.A. Cup and a mickey European Cup within the past 5 years I don't really consider them one of the biggest clubs in the world, which is what Chelsea fans today claim to be. You were never SERIOUS Premier League contenders, let alone the Champions League.

Of course you were bigger than we are. But I'm not comparing you with us. I'm comparing you with the over inflated opinion you have of yourselves. Another typical piece of Chelsea arrogance.

EDIT: You don't find Liverpool and Man Utd fans loitering on a Reading board to show how big and great they are.
