I hate Chelsea. Chavvy, arrogant fans completely unaware that the only reason they're mixing it with the best is due to Abrahmovic. Dirty team when I was growing up too, with players like Wise, Vinny Jones and Jody Morris. Loads of kids at school supported them when they should have supported their local team (ie us), and they were massively cocky about it. I'd be positively delighted if Abrahmovic left and they were put out of business.
I'm neutral about Liverpool, I don't have any real problem with them.
I do quite like Man Utd as they have represented us well in Europe for years, tried to play attractive football and genuinely are a big club who have earned their success, not like Chavski. Biggest downer is their cocky home counties fans. SAF can be irritating but he's a great manager and it's harsh to moan at him for being a bad loser.
Arsenal are my favourite simply because any genuine football fan (maybe not Spurs or Man Utd) could watch them play football for hours and enjoy it. They play good football to watch, they're helping English football adapt to the international game. They don't make many big headline signings, they quietly go about brining in youngsters and turning them into great players.
I also feel like if England are ever going to have a top class team, it will have to include a good crop of Arsenal youngsters unless more clubs copy their development model. As things stand, Arsenal are our best hope. Cole is arguably England's best current player and there's hope that Wilshere will be world class in the future. I really hope Arsenal get the Chamberlain kid; our best chance of him developing into a world class winger is under Wenger at Arsenal. Shame Walcott isn't there yet but I'm still not ruling it out.
I'm beginning to understand glory supporters a little more. Whenever I watch Barcelona or Arsenal play I want them to win because of the football they play and the mindset of their club. Of course I'm still a Reading fan but I definitely respect clubs who try to build those sorts of models.
