Gigi Buffon extends his contract at Parma for another 2 years which will take him through to 46 years of age

He made his Serie A debut in 1995. Which is mental.

Every chance now that he makes it to 1,000 club appearances - currently on 952.

As long as he doesn't get a serious injury, you'd be mad not to go for it, right?

For as a great a goalkeeper Buffon is, I can't help but always think of his stupid comments and questionable beliefs when I think of him. (using a fascist phrase, wearing a Mussolini slogan t-shirt, asking for the number 88 shirt etc)

Just read on the Guardian that Buffon's new contract means he will continue to be one of the few players who sometimes takes the field older than either his own or the opposing manager. Then was aghast to also read that in England our own Nathan Tyson did this on a couple of occasions for Chesterfield last season, now being 39. This is wrong. Nathan Tyson cannot (ever) be 39.

I read that and my reaction was exactly the same. No way can Tyson ever be anything other than a kid.

Must be heartwarming for all those musicians struggling to earn enough from the pittance paid to them per stream that Spotify can spunk millions on stadium naming rights.

Winston Biscuit Arbroath top of the Scotch 2nd tier. Not been in the top flight for 47 years. Little stadium positioned right next to the sea, further north up the coast from Dundee

lovely stuff

1 win in 5 has them in 2nd place, 2 points behind Kilmarnock. They play Kilmarnock on the penultimate match of the season.

Oh, I know that. My dislike of PSG is well documented on these pages though. You have to take pleasure in the small victories.

Surprised their results have been so poor recently what with €700k a week Messi doing the business with his.....::checks notes::.....2 league goals this season

El Classico kicks off in a minute. Sevilla in 2nd place dropped more points today so even if Real Madrid lose the title is surely theirs. Win and they go 12 points clear.

A Barca win would see them go 3 points behind Sevilla with a game in hand. Haven't seen much of Barca this season but after the disastrous start they had, just being in with a shout of finishing 2nd right now is some job by Xavi
