Came on to post that. Mentz. It's not like Monchengladbach have had players sent off or anything either.

An incredibly disappointing 0-6.

How on earth was that not a penalty for Dortmund.
Ref didn't even go to VAR

Well, it appears that’s a ref that has been found guilty of match fixing previously.

Brest's position mid-table in Ligue 1 looks unexciting. Typical middle of the road fodder with six wins, six draws and five defeats. But they've gone about it an unusual way. They were 19th and didn't win any of their first 11 games, since when they have won six in a row, and run that has included Monaco, Marseilles and Lens of the current top 7. Form!

Napoli's defeat to Atalanta sees the latter join the Milan sides in a group at the top. Juventus lurking. Seven points behind Atalanta in fifth, but they have won four out of five.

Ajax kept another clean sheet Winst, their seventh in a row. Still only two goals conceded this season, after 15 games.

Monitoring Ajax' goals conceded numbers is my current favourite European football fixation.

2 tough games coming up next to get them to the halfway point in the season.

I make the assumption that when they do finally concede a goal it will be in like a 4-0 defeat or summat. What is sport like, right?!

I am off for a couple of days now as I am resting after my minor op. I might rummage through some of Europe's lesser leagues or 2nd tiers and see what stories appear to be being written this season

Here's a good stat from this season. As well as being embarassing, Bayern Munich's 5-0 cup defeat to Moenchengladbach in October ended a run of 85 consecutive games in all competitions in which Bayern had scored, dating back to their scoreless league draw with Leipzig in February 2020. It was a European record. Real Madrid (73 games) the only European side other than Bayern (who also had a streak of 61 games a decade ago) to have scored in 60 consecutive games or more.

BSC Young Boys of Switzerland aren't finding this seasons so easy as last. They won the 2020-21 Swiss Super League by a European record 31 points (everyone else beat everyone else - Basel in second lost 13 of their 36 league games). This season Young Boys are fourth approaching halfway, and seven points behind leaders Grasshoppers Zurich.

Having both opened up quite a lead on the rest of the pack in Serie A not long ago, Milan and Napoli now can't stop stumbling and Inter have gone top of the table

Napoli down to 4th after going from being top, to only picking up 4 points from the last possible 15

Would be nice to see Atalanta take the league title after their exciting few free scoring seasons, though ever since an Italian work colleague told me that their fans were like an extreme version of Lazio fans I have stopped warming to them so much!

**Ajax goals conceded watch update**

They lost 2-1 at home to AZ yesterday, doubling the amount of league goals they have conceded for the season
