NathStPaul Wow...... Pep will be devastated. Reckon that might be it for him at City.

Liverpool win the league now too. It's going to be hard for City to regroup and we might see them drop a point or two

Would have to agree, you just don't normally get past a night like this.

BROB0T Think of all those Man City fans who went over...

...there's gonna be some long faces in the back of that transit!

I dunno....I've seen longer the other side of Manchester most weekends this season.
Still nice to see them lift that 6th place trophy against Brentford the other night. Amazing celebrations.

You finished 21st in the Championship :?

How did it affect you, last time you were knocked out of the CL semi?

Yeah but but we haven't spent gazillions to get there.
Think we beat Middlesbrough at home as well.

Difficult one because at the point of 89 minutes, City win that 99% of the time so whilst bringing Mahrez off for Fernandinho was a really poor move, can’t really blame him for that one

See City as similar to PSG when it comes to a psychological barrier stopping them from winning the CL. City can get rattled very easily and I thought that was reflective tonight. They were poor most of the game

If Mahrez passed it to Foden to make it 3-0, that would have been game over. Its all his fault and Pep should rightfully sell him in the summer.

Yep, it still sounds as loony as it did the 1st time you suggested it.

Well if Liverpool go on to win the league and CL then for me this is a win for football. Liverpool by no means have done what they have ‘on a budget’ but compared to the likes of city psg real etc they have. Klopp has worked miracles really. If pep leaves city having not won a CL it will one of the biggest failures in football.

Everton have spent around £650 million on transfer fees compared to Liverpool's £630 million since Klopp arrived at Anfield.

genome You have to laugh, Darren Fletcher and Steve McManaman were harping on about how City vs Liverpool would be the "deserving and proper final" in the 90th minute and then Real did that

Then Fletcher kept going on about how anyone who said the tie was over at 90 minutes was foolish. He really does bring Tyldedsley levels of banality.

*to McManaman's credit at least he admitted that was exactly what he'd thought

I think the difference in net spend is even more egregious isn't it? Someone put a caption up after the derby

I think it would be yes. You could argue that it is because Liverpool had the better assets thus making more money off of the sales but still when you take both net and gross into the equation, Liverpool are clearly doing things the right way.
