Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed in his soon-to-be-released autobiography that he did not regard Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as one of the world's best footballers.

The Scot, who retired from football management at the end of last season, wrote: "Lampard, for me, was a marvellous servant for Chelsea, but I didn’t think of him as an elite international footballer."

What does he know indeed.

Notice the word 'International'.....There's no disputing Lamps hasn't been as good for England as he has been for Chelsea. Likewise with Gerrard. Only Fergie said that Gerrard wasn't a 'top, top, player' in every aspect of the game.

Chelsea players made surprise visits to the homes of various supporters during the last international break to help out with the domestic chores. In one home, midfielder Eden Hazard, 22, dried the dishes.

But the chores didn’t go down too well with everybody, with Hazard admitting it can be hard work.

‘I put a poster up on the wall for a boy and washed some dishes. I prefer being on the pitch.

Agreed m8 - shame these fick cants can't distinguish the difference between SAF's comments

Probably the same divs who'll be chanting Guthrie's name tomorrow after calling for him to be sacked for not playing at Sunderland last season

I think people were leaving the job of mentioning it to you Kes seeing as you nearly always mention it when Chelsea win.
Didn't see this game, how did you play ? Think my tip for Chelsea to win the league in the prediction thread is looking good at the minute.

Torres had a pretty good game. That was a lovely cross for Chelsea's first.

LOL @ Hart obviously.

I heard they were over here to perform at half time in a benefit match for a former Reading centre-half whose career was ended by a shocking tackle by Cardiff's Richard Carpenter.

Casper: the friendly, Ghost.

Gr8 goal by Mata too. Is it right that Chelsea took 9,000 fans tonight? Incredible progress given they used to get <9,000 at home in the 90s. Hats off to them - must give Reading fans some hope that soon we'll be able to take more than 3,000 fans away.

Easy when it's only round the corner - we took 7000 to Highbury in 2005...
