I have no liking for the arsenal either. but (welcome back btw..I thought you'd left)....your deafness is only surpassed by your apparent blindness.

Considering it was a bit of a transition year for them, after losing Fabregas and Nasri, they've done very well to finish third. They were obviously going to struggle to compete with Utd and City due to spending power, but they've still managed to finish higher than a few teams that have spent a lot more than themselves (Liverpool and Chelsea in particular).

I think next season we'll see a more competitive Arsenal side. Having Wilshere back will be like a new signing for them, and with Podolski coming in they do look stronger. Alongside this, players like Oxlade-Chamberlain should develop a bit more. The two main problems they have is that they need some better defenders, and there is a possibility Van Persie will go. If they manage to sort out these problems, I'm sure they will be in the Champions League spots next season.
