Cypry
Ouroboros There is absolutely no way that could be seen as mitig8ing Hazard's kick in any way.

He quite clearly aimed to kick the ball, stupid, but I don't believe for a minute that there was any malice in it....contact with the kids ribs looked accidental to me....

Given that the ball boy has stated in advance that he planned to waste time if possible, I suspect, at a minimum, Chelsea will appeal any ban...

He missed the ball. Deliberate time-wasting does not allow for kicking someone.

If they appeal, then he will play against Reading

The ban will be for more than 3 games

That ballboy is clearly a hateful little sh*t, and although we can probably all sympathise with Hazard's frustration, it was a bloody stupid thing to do. He'll be suspended for the kick and so he should be, but it doesn't mean that horrible child was innocent.

P.S that ballboy hater will probably end up in trouble with the police now, advocating child abuse and all that.

Tbf, when I was a ball boy both Parjudas and Allen told us all to take our time in getting the ball back to the opposition. We used to roll it back to the opposition, and return it as quickly as possible to our own players.

That welsh kid was taking it a bit too far and I don't think the referee was expected to wait 6mins for a paramedic to see to his tummy before the game was restarted.

I don't condone Harzard's kick, but the ball boy was being a tw@t

I was at the game, the ball boys were slow all game and had been told to slow the game down by whoever was managing them, Hazard had had a go at one at the other end of the ground about 5 mins earlier. He was out of order to go for a kick but from where I was I'd thought he'd got the ball, then the Assistant explained what had happened to Foy who was facing the other way when the incident happend. By the letter of the law he was right to send Hazard off for VC, I think his ban will be increased but I also see the FA taking some action against clubs who encourage their ball boys to waste time. The game was dead from that point on and Chelsea weren't pressing Swansea at all. To win the tie Chelsea needed to score before HT and they couldn't manage to get through a very well organised side put together by Laudrup.

I feel really sorry for Hazard, he's been done up like a kipper. That ball boy was an absolute cock-end and Hazard was clearly trying to kick the ball, there's no way he did any real damage with that. But he's got zero chance of appealing because of the reaction and because he simply shouldn't have done it.

In an ideal world, I'd like to see Swansea kicked out the competition and the cup automatically awarded to Bradford. But I'd settle for a hefty fine and loling at Chelsea.

Mr Optimist Fully expect the ball boy to be seeking some form of "compo" for his injuries and pain and suffering. A signed shirt and apology from Hazard just won't cut it these days.

Apparently him and his dad went into dressing room, and both him and Hazard apologised to each other. Have said they won't press charges

.... cops still investigating though
