NathStPaul Yeah you can really make a long weekend of it down that way, especially if the fixture is in the early or late part of the season.

At least we have MK as a possibility 8)

I went a few years ago and we lost 1-0. I vowed never ever to return again after that. There aren't many bleaker places in England.

I think Luton, Burnley and MK are the top 3 on that order.

Soul destroying places.

genome Leeds are gonna be shitting themselves now.

I don't know who i want to go down more. Leeds or Everton.

I want Burnley to stay up.

But Everton would be  and

But Leeds are just Leeds. Although if they go down we know where 75% of Sky TV coverage will go in our league

Leeds would be fcuking funny tbf. All that time and effort to get up to the Premier League over several years and they're down after two seasons and now without their legendary manager.

Yeah but it was always so unbearable how much sky jizzed over them in our how and they were on TV literally every other game.

Still in Bournemouth's hands unfortunately as they are 3 points clear with 2 to go.
Fortunately though Forest have to win both of their games as a draw might well not be good enough as they would then be relying on Bournemouth being beaten at home by Millwall in the last game.

With the 2 Champs League semis plus the B'th v Forest game, then the start of Div 1 playoffs plus crucial Premier League games on Saturday it is a footballing week to look forward to as well as Reading having a say (probably) in who gets the final play-off spot.

BTW Leeds are now favourites for the final relegation place and if it happened they would most likely lose their best 2 players in Raphina and Phillips and a further lengthy period outside the top flight again could follow.

I know a few Leeds fans who were crowing about being safe a month ago when they were 9pts clear of the bottom 3.

I will laugh myself drunk if they go down

Winston Biscuit
Loafer first team ever to go from bottom to top in modern football

Wimbledon did it not so long ago (I guess we may all have different parameters for modern football due to age)

Oxford did it sooner

Luton would be the first to go from top to non league and back.

It took Oxford 23 years to go from non league to Division 1. It took Wigan 27 years to do the same. Wimbledon did it in 10 years (4 years from Div 4 to Div 1)

If you're talking League 2 to Premiership, it took Fulham 4 years and Bournemouth 7 years.

Northampton were promoted three times in the five years 1960 to 1965. Starting the 1960–61 season in the Fourth Division, they reached the First Division in 1965–66, their only season ever in the top division of English football. They were then relegated back to the Fourth Division over the next five years, playing in the bottom tier again in 1969–70.

4th to 1st to 4th in 9 seasons!!

The best and funniest one though is Bristol City. 13th in the old First Division in 1979 to finishing 14th in Division 4 in 1983. Made their goalie, John Shaw, go completely slap in the process.

Luton destroying their advantageous goal difference. 5-0 down with 25 minutes to go

Mitrovic just got his 42nd goal

Having been in 5th place and with the best GD of all the teams left fighting to get in the play offs, they now head into the final day in 6th place with the worst GD of them all. yikes.

Would hate to be their opponent on the last day as they go hunting for more and more goals

edit - a 7th goes in. Mitrovic has 43 goals with 1 match still to go

Will be interesting whether Silva's work with Mitrovic, he now comes deeper for the ball and isn't just a target man, will continue to reap rewards in the PL. He could/should really score 15-20 league goals next season, certainly good enough.

Also interested to see how Solanke does in the Prem (if they go up), looked awful under Howe but 29 goals this season is impressive

Parker really needs to learn to adapt in the Prem, become a lot more pragmatic and realise his team won’t be as good as 95% of the others
