Didn't seem to be too much in the way of First Round cupsets this year.

Best I could see was Welling beating Luton, Tamworth beating Cheltenham, and Boreham Wood and Brackley Town grabbing replays. A hearty LOL at Swindon is necessary too, going down 4-0 to Macclesfield.

Who are the lowest-ranked team left? Shortwood? 8th tier, only one year out of the Hellenic League.

Christof Well done Brackley Town, beating Gillingham 1-0 tonight

And I don’t know if you watched it (on BT Sport) but it was a fantastic advert for non-league football

Played at a great pace, with excellent skills and passing throughout (what we are aspiring to at Reading!)

Expected them to suffer and fade as the end approached but they kept going right to the end

Well done indeed

I remember going to Gillingham v Reading, a midweek game, just after I got my Saxo VTR as I drove it there with some m8s. I recall signs being up regarding the fans who were stabbed the previous season "Why weren't these gates here sooner".

I bet most of you weren't there.

Must have been this game. http://www.11v11.com/matches/gillingham ... 99-184572/

It was before they started redevoloping the ground.

The way he told the story it really made me feel like I was there.

I remember going to Gillingham and sitting in a rickety temporary stand, during heavy rain and gale force winds. Steven Bennett disallowed a Glen Little goal which would have been the only goal of the game and made the whole miserable experience worth it.

Was that on New Years Day 2005? Dire game and day if so.

Best Gillingham away memory has to be Rougier's winner in the last 10 minutes in front of a packed terrace 8)
