Pepe the Horseman Pellegrini to City a done deal according to Guillem Balague

That'll be a new three year contract for Mancini then.

St. Brynjar this just seems like replacing Mancini with who Mancini was 4 years ago.

Hearing Mancini whinging about the club not confirming or denying the rumours is pretty funny though, particularly when you consider him sitting in the stands during Sparky's last game as manager of MC!

The Times claim he will be gone before Tuesday. Other sources saying he's already been given the chop.

Second in the Prem, an FA Cup final and the sack?

Who do they think they are? Chelsea?

About time Mancini got the sack tbh...very lucky with his last two jobs and incredibly overrated. Next season'll certainly be interesting!

About time he got the sack...so you think he should have been sacked last year after winning the Premier League?

Weeks ago when it became clear they weren't going to win the league after being knocked out of the Champions League group phase for the second year running. Got very lucky United were so poor last year and has spent a silly amount of money on a lot of mediocre players. Look at Inter when they got rid of him - overrated.

They beat United to the title by the smallest of margins, United brought in RVP, City brought in Rodwell. Quite obvious why they didn't do as well. Second in the league and an FA cup final is an excellent season and they'd be mad to sack him.

When Royalee doesn't like someone logic doesn't really come into it.

Over the last 5 years, Man City have a net spend of £390,150,000 compared to United's £57,050,000.

Mancini has brought in players like Nasri, Garcia and Dzeko on ridiculous money, so blaming their loss of the title this season on a lack of backing in the transfer market is totally daft. They've lost it because of his inability to motivate his top players, as well as his baffling attempt to dissolve the tactics that won them the league last year.

They'll be a far more formidable team under Pellegrini.

They beat the worst United team for years in injury time to the title after nearly bottling it, having spent nearly 4 times as much as them on players. Then instead of strengthening in the summer he bought absolute toss in the form of Rodwell, Nastasic, Garcia and Sinclair. The only reason they won the title last year was because Yaya Toure is an absolute beast and carried them and he's not proven himself to have any coaching or tactical ability at either of his clubs. A half decent manager would do a lot better than getting knocked out of the CL groups twice in a row as well. Like Mourinho said, anyone can win a title once but the real test is consistency, especially if you spend the money Mancini has done. And that, Royal With Cheese, is my logic.
