Tough draw for West Ham that although can see Barca winning the tournament, seem to have been playing well recently with the additions of Adama, Torres and Aubameyang

Having not paid too much attention to the Europa League this season, I am a little surprised at the number of quality teams in it

Seems to be a slight evolution in the game with stronger teams, particularly in the Prem, neglecting to use an out and out striker, the likes of City, Liverpool and more recently Chelsea (United on Sunday too) but Lewandowski’s stats are superb - 40th goal in all competitions tonight including an 11 minute hattrick. Got to think Bayern will be up there again as contenders to win the competition

Slight tangent but was surprised at Inzaghi tonight, seemed to give up as soon as Sanchez was sent off. Dzeko has always been a very good goal scorer so to leave him on the bench for the 90 minutes just one goal off extra time was strange and citing the reason as “saving him for Saturday” was a strange one

Yeah I agree a lot of Milan's changes last night seemed to be like-for-like in most cases whereas I'd have thought they may have put 2/3 forwards on the field, even with 10 men. They were heading out anyway so there was nothing to lose. They worked hard but they barely created anything throughout the game really, other than the goal they only really had that free kick in the first half but I don't remember them having much else. It was still a pretty good game to watch though.

Feel like Lewandowski's goal-scoring efforts are even now beginning to surpass those of Messi and Ronaldo. Going back to the start of the 19-20 season, he has 145 goals for Bayern in 122 games  . That's just silly. 23 assists in that time as well.

Nine games left in Bundesliga and potentially give more in the Champions League, every chance he beats his own personal record of 55 goals in a season.

With 12 goals in this season's Champions League, he is also threatening Ronaldo's record of 17.

Knew his records were somewhat outstanding, but not that good!

Given that, surprised he hasn’t won the Ballon D’or yet - if they dare prise it away from Messi or Ronaldo that is

2 minutes in to the Real Madrid v PSG game and the PSG players surround the referee and manhandle him a little bit. I don't think I've seen a PSG game this season where something similar hasn't happened. Horrible team.

Pochettino (one of the most overrated managers around) insists on his team passing it out time and time again even when it evidently isn’t working. Still, being touted for the United job, he’d fit in perfectly with their current trophyless run

Yeah, just saw the result and thought..."ah fcuk, we'll be signing Poch up"

No way PSG will put up with that but Utd will take a manager sacked from his last two clubs

Yeah, what a weird target of hate. Very odd behaviour.

Going to be properly interesting to see where Poch ends up. Surely PSG will sack him, but the noise around ten Hag has seemed much louder in recent weeks. Looks somewhat of a gamble either way for United.

Cracking game last night. Four lovely goals, plus a disallowed belter from Mbappe. Not sure I've seen a more audacious dummy in a pressure game ever.

Another absolute bottle job from PSG. Their game management is so poor, dreadful, dreadful team. The moment they dicked around with their corner around the hour mark you knew they'd somehow screw it up.
