Apart from self distruct moments I think this is the worst England have played so far in the tournament. Much less incisive passing. More errors. Ukraine have looked tidy and in control in midfield, but haven't really threatened Hart a great deal. Although I get the feeling our defence will part like the red sea at some point during the match.

Carroll would have broken the net from that range. Read that his header against Sweden went at 64 mph, and he met the ball 8ft 3ins in the air.
