Victor Meldrew
Barry the bird boggler Argentina will be in South Africa.

For the record though I think its ridiculous that 5 teams from South America get to qualify for every World Cup. Should be 3 plus a play off spot.

Anyone get the feeling this is currently skewed to ensure that however bad they actually ever get, Brazil and Argentina will always qualify?

Don't have a problem with 5 South American countries getting through, after all Brazil have won it many times,Argentina less so and Uruguay I believe won the first one.
How many African countries get to go bearing in mind no country from that area has ever won it?

Is it also ridiculous that England has 4 representatives at club level for the European Champions League?

5 teams thats 50% of the countries! There's only 10 in it. That would be like 10 teams from England qualifying for the CL!

Should be 3 max for a fair representation. Either that or mearge the South/Central America qualifying. Bit of a farce really if Argentina can lose 6 (?) and still qualify.

How do they work out how many qualifiers they should have?

I imagine its on the basis of past success - not just winning it but 2nd round and QF appearances. A few 'bad' years and it might change.

I don't knwo why anyone would want the best player in the world to miss out on the world cup to be fair, also if Maradona keeps wearing a Superman cape that can only be a good thing
