No Fixed Abode
Barry the bird boggler  trying to keep it all a big secret esp. as the club had already given it away themselves to a lot fans with their first "teaser" image.

And the home shirt has been on HNA since May. Posted by myself. 8)

So you thought I got lucky with the home kit, what about saying the away kit was all red? Another lucky guess I suppose? 8)

Long sleeve home shirt is horrendous. Brian Moore retired years ago and he was the only one who ever had trouble with the numbers.

Was the comment someone made in the club shop to someone on here about "the away kit causing controversy", because it's like Swindon's home kit? :|

Probably nonsense RL. We've had red before (94/95) and no-one battered an eyelid. The Oxford United keepers kit is probably more offensive and still no-one will care.

IMHO it's nice to see us in red. Look at our badge, red is certainly one of our colours.

Kesmond, you do this every year and make multiple guesses on the home and away kits. If you throw enough shit it will eventually stick.

More important to me is who will be wearing the kit, and not what it looks like

roadrunner I don't ask for too much, just please give us a home shirt with hoops that go all the way around and no back panel.

If I could be a little greedy I'd love a return to white shorts and white socks.

PS. This would be fecking amazing:

Nike > Puma

Note first kit 1872 - http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Reading/Reading.htm

Would be epic. Spacey would not be pleased.

Isn't it teams that play in red that are statistically more likely to win? Get working on the stats Snowball!

The last time we had a mostly white hooped shirt, white shorts and socks and an all red away kit we got to Wembley in 95.

Omens!

Forbury Lion
royalsroyalsroyals92 Not too bad but i just hate not having proper hoops all the way around! I appreciate for TV and such it isnt quite as easy and clear to tell which player is which, but it still is annoying!
+1

The premier league requires clear numbers, so no hoops/stripes...However we are not premier league and the club will obviously release a new shirt anyway if we go up so why not make full hoops? Also, why not just make a full hooped version for the fans and add £5 onto the price?

I was given to understand that it was the players who didn't like full hoops - we which we have had once in the last few years.

And as posted the PL do enforce any rules on back panels. It's the clubs choice, PL to FL.

The more I see the home shirt the more I like it. Really like the red away kit.

westongeezer Not sure about this shirt, it has the Marmite effect and i dont like it, COLLAR! are we ruggar buggars now? and no hoops....and while im on it crappy shade of blue to.

^^^ WHS ^^^ It's complete gash...... A collar, no hoops and the away kit is even worse..... A very disappointing outcome to the only bit of potential excitement in the close season......

You can't please everyone. It's a hell of a lot nicer than the last few seasons though.
