We don't normally hear him but because of unreserved seating and having SFers junior in tow we were in our seats early yesterday. The bloke's hilarious! Did he used to work for Chorley FM?

Out of interest is there any reason why don't women get employed as pre-match announcers? Don't think I've ever been to a game in the last 30 years where a female was the announcer at a club. Perhaps there's something unique the club could do there...?

I think it has to be a gradual thing, we're so used to football being a men's only thing that anything that upsets the norm causes backlash like when Gabby Logan presented MotD or how uppity people get when there are female officials at football matches and don't forget the amount of sexist comments still show up with regards to women's football.

However I don't think it's anything to worry about, newer generations are getting more and more progressive and I'm sure football in general will be even more inclusive to women in the near future.

I'd rather have the oxf*rd annoying-sounding postman from the MadBid .com adverts do it than this current tosspot. Can we please get a chant going after his "Let me hear you loyal royals" nonsense letting him know how we feel about his antics? He's an abomination.

TBF his team announcement was better yesterday, actually said just the numbers rather than imitating a bingo caller. Maybe he's had a talking to.

His lack of knowledge shows he does not care about the Royals what so ever, most probably sees it as just another pay cheque. Get rid and bring back the previous guy who is so much better and cares about the club.

The guy is obviously out of place more than anything and that shows through with his slips when it comes to blocks instead of stands, building as opposed to stadium etc...

His style is grating sure but I'm pretty sure that it is his lack of passion for the club that is the main problem here but that also goes back to my first point in that he hasn't taken the time to learn the differences from one sport to another or take any feedback on board at all and is simply pushing ahead with his style and the changes that he has made with little or no interest on what people think.

Everything he does comes over as though it is forced as he has nothing invested at a personal level in the club and couldn't care less about the result or the fans because it simply isn't his team, a team he supports or even cares about it seems.

To be fair I do wonder just how much the club are shelling out his efforts and if their ££s couldn't be spent more wisely. After all it does sound like he is only doing what he does to impress his bosses and not the fans and his seeming unwillingness to change smacks of someone simply "doing his job"!

The club apparently aren't listening to fans on this one so maybe the fans need to make their voices more heard on a match day in opposition of him to make it clear to the club how little his is liked/wanted! That is the only way that I can see anything being done!

For what it's worth I don't even take my now seat until his waffle and "show" is over both pre-game and half time because it is so cringe-worthy and self-centered it is embarassing! What the away fans must think of his antics too!?

The Postman Pat dubstep today was absolutely lolworthy, a perfect two fingers up to everyone who has complained about it

Well of course putting two fingers up to your paying customers is always a good idea for any business.

Speaking of two fingers, there were more than a few fans displaying them at him before the second half kicked off

Ah, so you are saying he's a bit precious and blames his inability to do a simple job with any degree of professionalism on the stupid public who fail to see the subtle irony of his performance ?
I'd agree, we are not worthy. May be for the best if he goes and finds a more appreciative crowd...
