brendywendy thats my oxf*rd point. You make the choice, on the basis that being able to get cup ticket isnt worth not living away. Then you cant get one,and all of a sudden the clubs at fault for not tailoring you a perfect personal solution.your choice you dont want to go in the home end.its all your choice.the club are just trying to help as many people as they can, in the best way they can organise. If jm decides unilaterally to suddenly pay for coaches, theres not alot club or ticket office or you or i can do apart from say thanks, thats very kind.

Honestly Brendy, what are you on about today? It's hardly expecting a perfect personal solution is it? What we want is enough tickets to meet demand for a FA Cup quarter final in a massive half-empty stadium where RFC could basically ask for any number of tickets they wanted (up to 7000 or whatever). You also make out like a little bit of communication between arms of the club regarding the free travel and number of tickets is too much to ask. So with one hand the club make a gesture which will massively increase demand for tickets, while on the other hand they take a very conservative approach buying tickets, in the knowledge the tight timing of the whole thing will make ordering and selling more extremely difficult. Have we really come to the point where this braindead b*llocks is taken as the best we can hope for from the club.

If we were only allowed 2,800 tickets, I'd accept that missing out is the price I pay for living away. But there's room enough for everyone.

Isn't it nice when someone posts a reply which captures exactly what you were thinking but in a far more eloquent way.

mcfc Please note Seasoncard holders in Level 3 of the Colin Bell and East Stands will need to relocate for this fixture. Reading fans will occuoy the normal away section.

Doesn't tie in with reports of these seats being sold, preventing us from getting a bigger allocation.

If the club sold the 2,800 tickets couldn't they just simply ask for more?

Probably not because tickets are already being sold to city fans either side of the away allocation

Bendy, if you want be a tool just to get some attention on AE that's fair enough but it's not appropriate for this subject when many are rightly upset by the club's decision not to get enough tickets to accomodate their own fans

Since the tickets and travel were announced at the same time the TO could have called up MCFC once they found out about the free travel and said, "you know this morning we said we'd take 2800 tickets, well we've changed our minds now and would like 4000"

Christian adopters

Absolutely your choice that you dont have the points for monday.
If man city won on wednesday we wouldnt have been able to talk to man city till thursday and couldnt guarantee wed get them till saturday at some point, so its monday.the end. Calling me a tool isnt going to change the facts.and personally im ok with the idea that if i dont have the points then i cant go,and maybe i should have got more points by going to more away games which would coincidentally would mean wed have astked for more tickets in the first place.

Having less than 1600 points will not be the reason that either you or I can't go to this game.

But surely you can see that if we had asked for more tickets, you me and unto 3,000 other fans would ave been able to watch RFC in the Qtr final of the FA Cup.

Anyone know how many people actually have 1600 royalty points? We could work out roughly how many will be left on Tuesday

Is it in the clubs interest to have more or less fans supporting the team at this game? What do you reckon the answer might be?

As usual plenty of moans about a nothing issue really. Club taken inital allocation, more available if needed. The lack of selling time has changed the selling bands. On top of that the club offer free public travel which for the first time has been offered so without STAR getting involved so those who do wish to take it don't have to sign up for a membership.

On a side note, with the exception of Arsenal (05/06 Carling Cup) I can't recall us taking a 6,000+ allocation to any league/cup/playoff semi-final match (happy to be corrected though)

Bit miffed the last bracket is 600 as it means I have to wait until general sale. Also worried about the coaches if the deal is only for an initial allocation as its the only way I'll be able to travel.

Not going to moan about the world owing me a favour though. It's the way shizzle is.

Oh right then, when you put it like that I guess it's fair enough. I'd never thought of the club offering tickets to meet supporter demand as a 'favour' before. I guess we should be thankful the club have favoured us enough to offer any tickets at all.
