ddetisi I think they will. They've seen the slip in attendance even this year..
crowds are down by 330 - hardly what you'd call a desperate "slide" for a team finishing 10 places lower than the previous year. I'd bet a fair chunk of that was also from away fans who came last year no longer bothering to "do" a new ground.

Well, I've enjoyed myself immensely coming to see Reading play. It was going to be a one off visit when I went to see the FA Cup replay, but I came back 6 more times and pined when I couldn't go, so it's a season ticket for me next time.

Here's one plastic who's coming back.

Nice one, and to be honest, I think there will be many others.

Ian Royal Plenty will stick around. Especially in anticipation of promotion. We may not manage 18k STHs but IMO we'll get at least a 20k average attendence as long as we do ok, quite possibly as high as 22k. Higher if we're looking like promotion.

We didn't manage 18K STHs this season. In the Premiership. Realistically we're looking at 12K STHs in the Championship. Far more people will pick and choose their games, let's face it there's going to be more capacity in the stands for groups of non-STH to book seats in the week prior to the game. Agree about average attendance though – 21K – especially if they get the pricing right and the team's doing well.

The club should set loyalty points to zero, time to start accumulating points again. Only proviso would be that reneewing ST would get a small sarter, and anyone that had an away ST last season should get a start for this coming season.

re: Ticket prices

What games will be considered "Platinum" for next season?

There are fewer people in Reading with Wolves or Wednesday as their  "Big Club" than those that follow Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd etc
Also there aren't any massive draws really are there?

The point being, surely the pricing structure for one off ticket sales is redundant in the Championship.

ddetisi So we won't be on Match of the Day next year, we hardly were anyway. and we've got a summer of uncertainty ahead of us. However if we keep the gaffer i truly believe that he will keep a good core team together and we could be a force next year. Thats not to say that we will keep the best of the current crop but all those players will have something to prove next year and that might be enough for some.

Bright side - lower season ticket prices - less talk of plastics/glory hunters on here and in general. giving abuse to Pardew and (maybe) Warnock

Dark Side - Kid for a Quid, and Wolves

and cardiff/swansea

happy if they prove me wrong as it gives clubs going up hope, but i think Hull/Bristol city and Stoke will definately be relegated, west brom will be in the battle for 3rd spot.....i think the gulf will get wider and wider between the prem and fizzy pop league....next season prem sides get £30m-£50 (bottom-top) from tv alone....fizzy pop teams get less then £1m

probably correct.....unless categroies are

platinum category = Localish/London clubs eg Watford, palace, Soton
gold category = big clubs
turd category = small clubs
