it was only when man city started selling the othertickets that we realised we werent going to be able to do that. McD even said the same after the game on saturday.

Wycombe Royal
Royal Lady 1. Yeah, I suggested that Craig Mortimer bloke got the bullet and if you've heard any of his interviews, you'd understand why.

He doesn't sound convincing does he? What qualifications does he have for being the spokesman? Didn't he used to be the photographer or am I thinking of someone else?

He did start out as something to do with the PR and/or website yes. Having listened to him on the radio today and in relation to the ST renewal I think he's struggling to justify the clubs position on both policies.

Is that his fault? I'd guess not to be honest. I'm not sure someone in his position would have much input on decisions like such as these but it is his job to be the public face of those club policies. Some of the excuses he's tried to pull out for this are poor at the very best.

I've moaned about the way they've sold tickets using and not using the points system in the past. It seems they just don't learn from their mistakes. Once they knew they were going to be limited to just the 2,800 tickets then the points thresholds should've been adjusted to reward those fans with the higher points totals (the award of points for away games still needs to be higher but that's another debate). As it is you basically had an online free for all that should've been avoided.

I'd be interested to know the regulations around the allocation of tickets as well. From my understanding City have to make whatever percentage it is available for FA Cup games, and the 2,800 is some way under that. I didn't realise that the home club was only held to that percentage in regards to the first allocation the away team took. If that's the case then RFC have cocked up royally by only taking such a small allocation even if it could've led to a small (in the grand scheme of things with the revenue generated from teh cup run) loss.

Yet again the club seem to have taken for granted the fans who are the lifeblood of the club. Very disappointed.

but staggering a game they didnt think theyd sell out over three or four extra days was onky going to slow down the ticket sales, and therefore mean we would be too late to go in for the extra tickets.
it was onky when man city started selling those seats, that some one realised what was happening. we clearly thought another allocation was possible if tickets sold quickly

Surely we could have put a lot of pressure on Man City not relocate fans to the seats next to us? They are only just selling out now in a reduced capacity ground. Maybe have a deal that we had until Monday at midday to request them. So many things could have been done differently.

Hell even if nothing worked at least say on the website that RFC are not happy and are aggrieved towards MCFC /The FA for putting them in this situation rather than instinctively just try to defend themselves.

Even saying "we have been refused by City but continue to lobby. We advise fans we have little hope of success but are all working hard to do something"

I mean that would be better PR surely !

Read the first dozen or so word of the bit of my post you quoted bendy!

From what Mortimer said on the radio they knew from day 1 of the sales that they wouldn't be getting any more because City started selling the additional seats to their own fans.

A group I feel sorry for is the group of people who cannot log in online, even if they try. 2 of my friends have an error when they tried to log in saying "This customer number is not able to use online ticketing - contact the club". Would have been gutted had that come up on my account!

This is the first time they've tried to use the ticketing service?

No, I know for a fact that one of them has used it before as he has booked me tickets on his account before. Was very weird.

We would have been offered the 15% allocation, but as it has been said by the club...they decided at the time to only ask for 2800...due to the reasons explained on the OS

What's done is done and as remarked some 40 pages back...the club seem by some to be in the in the wrong whatever they do!!!

Craig's been around a long time - back in Pardew's day he was a photographer and did some of the club's other media eg. website.

TBH if you've never heard of him before then you're a bit of a plastic.
