readingfc13 I have used the "contact" thing and told the club that I haven't received an email and could they please send one. I'm going to be very angry if for some reason I haven't got the tickets.

Glad (not sure if that is the right word) that I'm not the only one having issues though!

And nope nothing in the spam folder.

We're in the same boat, I have the paying reference though which is all the confirmation email holds so I think it's fine, 95% sure anyway. An email is literally only confirming it.

Yeh that's a good point. I would have thought it's all OK (fingers crossed).

would this be a good place to point out that poor old Ipswich will see just 170 RFC fans with pre bought tickets, feck off Ipswich with your high prices, pcnuts.

just logged on to see how the sales went.

I think everything that needs saying has been said before.

well done to those who secured tickets, genuinely dissppointed for those that didn't. Although we only have 2,800 tickets, doesn't mean to say that only 2,800 of our fans can get to see the game, not the same I know.

I'm not going to miss it, going to meet up with our fans at the services, meet them for a beer near the ground and then sit in the home end on my hands for 90 minutes, going through all the emotions I normally do, just not being able to sing or shout about it. It will still be a game to remember for the right reasons.

Tonight football headline in the Evening Post.

Reading fans stay up until 2am to book their Manchester City FA Cup tickets on-line due to the incompetence of RFC not securing the 5,000 tickets offered.

No news from the club yet. Is it sold out?

Is there a queue at the Mad?

If you try to buy tickets online it says no tickets to fulfill request.

Just had a look myself and I can't even see Man City on there anymore. Genuinely feel for those without tickets, the communication from the club has been poor.

jq urz 00.57 update - more tickets seem to have appeared in both tiers

i agree the banding levels are far too extreme, the obvious thing would be to bring the banding down by 200 points every few hours - but whatever the club do it's a tricky one to judge given our average away following and the need to sell all tickets in a couple of days
still much better in my book than the old days of trying to get through on the phone to elm park

Who created that need to sell all tickets in a couple of days? Why were the club not able to get the tickets on sale by last Friday?

As for average away following, that is where the club started to mess things up. A quarter final tie to a real glamour club in a new(ish) stadium and ticket prices for adults starting at £15. As the finance ads say - 'past performance .........'

At the end of the day, with tickets so cheap, the club should have taken a gamble on taking more tickets and having to pay Man City for those not sold. That's assuming they couldn't have struck a deal with City for a second bite at the cherry if required.

With regards to Elm Park, despite having to operate out of a wardrobe, I'm not sure those running things then could have done any worse!

As for communication from the club, new day, presumably new website space quota (if that excuse really was offered), and nothing whatsover on the website that I can see. Nice to see those responsible for communications are up nice and early, into work and communicating!

Exactly. I think that Exeter City took about twice their average HOME attendance to old trafford a few years ago. Crawley, anyone?

As a northern exile I don't have the points, but, having been at Goodison I'm not going to miss this one, so I've just bought a ticket in the home end, front row upper tier. It won't be the same, but at least I'll be there.

Me too. Feel extra sorry for those who don't have internet access/and or don't have the means to pay on line and therefore became excluded from the rush for tickets at midnight last night. It's easy to forget that they do still exist.

Let's hope there was at least someone from the club there to break the bad news to them as soon as they arrived.
