Ian Royal I was just asking him to make up his mind about whether he couldn't afford it or whether he didn't think it was good enough value. Two different things. Either is perfectly valid.

Either way it's pretty clear he's arguing it's too expensive, a sentiment many on here will agree with.

One I felt myself for the previous 9 years. Mind you, I never realised the savings a ST gives over individual match tickets. Now I've got one I'm starting to think it's pretty damn good value. Although I doubt I'd have thought that at significantly more money for significantly shitter football and results last year.

It was clear, I cant afford it, either a st or game by game. A st is good value, it is not worth 25 on a single game, imho. If game by game was closer, as it used to be then I could occasionally go.

Let my ST lapse this year for first time in 10 years (was feeling a bit bloody-minded tbh after sitting through 10 1/2 hours of turgid football without seeing us score a goal, plus I thought McDermott was harshly treated and I just can't bring myself to like Adkins, no matter how hard I try) . I figured I'd go to more away games and cherry-pick the home fixtures.

But I'm already regretting the decision. Had to sit in the North stand for Watford, doesn't look possible to get any decent East stand seats this season without paying the Viagogo premium. And speaking of Viagogo, what's not to like as a seller? I sold Arsenal and Chelsea last year for a premium (to Arsenal and Chelsea fans as it turned out) and damn near paid off 50% of the ST-cost right there. And this year I reckon I'll end up spending more on home games than the cost of an ST anyway, but watching from some random seat surrounded by God knows who.

Season Ticket is the way to go. Even if you can't attend every week it looks like Viagogo will work again this year and you'll be way ahead compared to paying game by game.

Oh well, bring on movers week next year...

I think you'll find that it won't quite work like that this season, the only reason you got a premium price for the tickets I would assume is because you sold them when the games were sold out, ie. there was a demand. Why would someone want to buy a ticket above face value this season when they can go to the box office on the day and get a ticket? Because at this moment in time I don't expect us to fully sell out the games.

ah but a spare ST seat is about £18 pounds, so while not a fortune there, there is a ok spread and the chance not to lose money if you cant go.
