Alexander Litvinenko I think your sample is too small - or perhaps it's not that bad this morning. They have different people who do it and some are better/worse than others. cba to look back and find examples now but there are some real howlers out there - frequently before away games .....

i find it both ironic and wrong that you moan that the output from the clubs twitter is banal
A. because twitter is banal.
and B. when i checked last week when you started whingeing, the twitter feed was full, mostly of interesting info of the type you were crying out for, and theer was a dearth of banal pointless retweets from players.

dont see why i should stop discussing just cos you disagree.its a discussion board so....

ive looked back, and not seen much relative banality.
and you refuse to look back to give me examples.(not just one though, your complaints were about whole news feeds being utterly clogged with retweets of karacan saying wooldy flames etc, so id need whole pages if i am going to admit i am wrong.)

again, i say to you, that sarcasm or not, it just doesnt strike me at all as banal, or not fitting for a club information stream.
perhaps you could point out the masses of banal shit that are clogging up the internet from the club, cos im really struggling.

Well, I hope that you can bask happily in the smug satisfaction of feeling that you've won an argument on the internet.

For me, I utterly refute what you say because you've consistently failed to read, note or respond to the specific points I've made - and which others have agreed with.

But I've got lots of much better things to do with my time than make the same points again so if you want to chuckle to yourself all afternoon about your magnificent victory on the internet then please feel free.

yes. yes i can.

its just like creting8 all over again, you get all sniffy and refuse to acknowlegde what im saying cos youve been proven wrong.
for me its not about winning and losing, its just about having some grace and class imo and admitting you are wrong.

ive given you examples of un banality
you cannot do the same for reams of banality.

i just want to know how what i posted from twitter is banal. or is it just that i randomly picked three days where captain banality had the day off?
i also looked last week, there was still nothing much to justify the criticism then either.

i have no real ties to the twitter feed. frankly it matters not 1 jot to me whether it is banal or not,
but people were moaning, so i went to check, and it seems clear to me that they are moaning over nowt.
but this is par for the course, as the posters moaning seem to enjoy a good moan, and thats fair enough. many people do.

ive tried to be helpful, i really have. ive done your research when you couldnt be arsed.
and this is the thanks i get.
well screw you man.

Every year the majority of people say they don't like the back the boys twat, every year they decide to ignore us. So make sure you specifically complain about him, unless you like him of course...

Please mention the bloody band too.

cos id imagine what you consider to be a majority is nothing of the sort.

there will be a few who h8 it. a few who like it, & a big load of people in the middle who dont give a toss.

imo i h8 all of the things you mentioned, but can mostly ignore them. theyre for the kids etc,not me.

Well in last seasons fan survey only 34% of people said they liked that announcement.

In the comments they said "Many fans don’t like goal music or “back the boys” announcement" and The goal music and back the boy’s announcement is not everyone’s preference however many other supporters enjoy it and feel it helps improve the atmosphere.".

I believe the the year before broke it down further than two options and far more people chose the most negative option over the most positive one but I can't find those survey results.

I did mine last night. I actually asked if we could get a vote on the goal music, rather than the club just trotting out "some people/other fans like the goal music". Doubt it will happen, but if you don't ask you don't get.

Get a life, you are so pathetic!

Can you honestly say you have never been sent a link to some pointless content involving choice of cereal, or the players browsing the motorway service shop?

IMO this is all well and good if people are interested in this stuff (hey, some people like 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'), but put it somewhere separate from the 'official' feed of the club which should IMO contain informative or important points for discussion. Why not a 'Young Royals' or 'RFC Squad' feed so everyone who cares can still find out what colour socks Ledge wears on a Thursday!

no. but the point being made was that it was almost all like that. reams of banality.

when in fact there arent.& im not sure how the odd tweet you skip over is any different to any other twitter account you follow.

another point to be made here is that many people complain that we have lost the link to the players, they are no longer accessible or available to chat after games etc.
well with twitter they are, and this kind of thing is simply what is going through their tiny little minds on a daily basis. its a poor substitute for the old style accessibility, but it is access, of a sort
