Been shafted here. Surely moving the Posh away game to saturday would have suited better.

Not Reading it wouldn`t have-its all about moving a home midweek game to a Saturday to get a bigger crowd and therefore more revenue in to the club.

Pleased with this, sensible decision for the club and the majority of the fans.

An all too rare victory for common sense.

Svlad Cjelli It's a real pisser, yes.

They're doing refunds for people who bought tickets for the Tuesday and can't go - I wonder if that extends to ST holders.

(Rhetorical question, really - I know the regulations well enough to know that there's not a whelk's chance in a supervova that this will happen.)

And I suppose for everyone pissed off by this another one will be happier - I'm well and truly stuffed by this decision, though.

Two of us will be happier. I was going to be in the States on the Tuesday, now my daughter and I will be able to go.

Club will save money on floodlights and stadium lighting too!

JR I have never been so angry with my football team - this is an outrageous decision and an abuse of fans.

I am someone who takes advantage of weekends free of home league games to make other plans, so cannot go to the 'rearranged' game. The club have to appreciate that people have lives outside of football.
.

Do they? What with RFC and both my kids playing football on weekday evenings and at weekends, I can't remember what that is like!

Life is thrown into complete turmoil when there is a postponement!

And have a bigger crowd, too.

Just personally pissed off because I'd been invited somewhere, said I probably couldn't go because of the Cup, then on Saturday evening confirmed I could go.....

Oh, and also because I much prefer evening matches to Saturday afternoon matches, which are usually anodyne and lack the extra atmosphere that games under floodlights bring.

Are Saturday crowds much bigger (Bristol is only just over an hour away)? Agree about evening games and atmosphere, even though this change works in my favour this time around.

More kids generally attend at a weekend than on a weekday, and more away supporters.

I wonder if there's much difference to catering receipts.

On the one hand, people coming str8 from work might not have time to eat so are more likely to grab a burger. On the other, there's that bit less time for boozing. Certainly the town centre establishments must prefer weekend games.

My brother's happy with this. He can't make midweek games due to his commitments with the Navy and is also pleased that the Burnley game on 5th round day will stay on its original date. Glad we don't have the prospect of a Tuesday trip to Barnsley now either.

Well done RFC.

Saturday afternoon > rushing to the Stadium after work on a Tuesday night!

Also my old man's happy. He works weekday evenings and is away on holiday for the Burnley game, so this pretty much makes up for the one he's missing.

Now all we've got to do is win the bloody thing! :D

Have to say from a totally selfish perspective that I am pleased with this. Was going to have to miss the game on the Tuesday night due to having to travel for work.
