Saturday's The Whiff sought

by Man Friday » 01 Nov 2010 14:01

I understand The Whiff was being sold on Saturday. Anyone finished reading their copy and prepared to sell it on to me?

Please PM. Cheers.

Either drop in The Nags Head or Hobgoblin.

Failing that you could always try joining The Whiff Appreciation Society on facebook and asking them there

Don't live locally anymore. Don't use Facebook! Thanks anyway.

the team board is full of internet trolls and bullies, and every one gets slagged off if they disagree with the team board mafia, and its all very mean spirited and nasty

LOL. Yeah cos the rest of HNA is full of harmonious enlightened debate. Its an Internet forum/board just like any other I'm afraid. Its for impotent people with little or no control of their real lives to make themselves feel somehow relevant and important. That applies to pretty much all of us on here & equally to people who write mediocre football fanzines.

Having said that I'm sure the Team Board would be much improved by a 12 page thread on how funny cancer is.

While we're on the subject of fanzines, has anybody come across a particually funny one from another club? I've only read Arsenal ones and they are just full of lame gags about Spurs.

Are there any good fanzines left?

I know it was one of ours, but I really don't think I ever read anything that was much better than Taking The Biscuit. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

Agreed. Did that later become Heaven 11, or was it the other way round?? Or were they in fact, completely unrelated??!!

I'm pretty sure Heaven 11 was unrelated.

While we're on the subject, I have got a box full of Taking the Biscuit fanzines kicking around somehere that I'd completely forgotten existed. I've also got a couple of copies of Elm Park Disease, which is printed in that old style purple-o-vision photo copier ink.

Always buy the Whiff having given up on the official programme, sorry matchday magazine, which is far to sanitised for my liking. The Whiff is funny, thought provoking and at £1 better than the £2.50 or is it £3.00 now for the official one. Another strength is that the articles are a reasonable length better than the one or two paragraphs which most Hob Nob articles have.

To the Whiff team keep up the good work boys and girls.

Someone (dhl) offered to send me their copy but I'm having problems responding to their PM. My responses are getting stuck in Outbox with no movement!
Could a web administrator investigate please?
