Silly question time

I am planning on going to the game tomorrow with a Mad Stad virgin. I have a membership card but the person I am going with does not. How do I order tickets to ensure that we sit together? Also, why do you have to sit through 3 minutes of b/s on the hotline only to be told that:
a) Scunthorpe home tickets are on open sale
b) The hotline is closed
c) The ticket office reopens on Monday at 9.00 am.

WTF

Should think you'll need a second member card

They can do you a paper ticket, but you'll need to pick it up from the TO before the game. Oh, and you'll have to pay the "fine" for not buying in advance.

I thought of mentioning that but wasn't entirely sure it meant what I thought it did, as it's gibberish

I suggest you read tmy response to FS on the Team Board

Back to the tickets. When I booked them yesterday, I told the mong on the phone that I did not have my membership card with me. I said clearly that I would require a paper ticket. I was told that this would cost an additional £2. Fair enough. No problem with that.

I collect the tickets and open the envelope. How many tickets inside? 1. Just what, exactly, is wrong with the people employed by the club? Nothing short of a bunch of spastics. We may have the facilities but the interface with the customer is complete and utter garbage.

Even after several years I still can't seem to buy tickets online with a Visa debit card, this is using ones from different banks as well. No problem over the phone but it can't be rocket science to get their website to take transactions.

No thanks, not really that bothered. Glad to see you've dropped your ridiculous 'protest' against Mr Madejski though, feel any better for it?

Well, if you can't be arsed to read a simple statement then that is up to you. If you want to be a slave to the egodome that is your choice.

What I enjoyed was being able to watch a game and enjoy it instead of being too wrapped up in wanting Reading to win at all costs. It was quite an eyeopener in seeing just how blind football spectators are.

I still dislike what the owner is doing but that is my prerogative and opinion and I am entitled to it. If I decide not to go or to go that is my choice and I will not be deterred. Least of all by someone as shallow as yourself.

Have you tried using a different browser? Had the same problem using AOL, but fine with IE

I've used Online Ticketing with Visa Debit through, certainly IE and Chrome, probably FireFox too but I'm not certain, and no problems.

The Online Ticketing service isn't unique to RFC BTW, it's shared with a number of other clubs, and of course the portion of the site that processes the payment is actually served by your card provider. So the chances this is a widespread problem are not great.

Bought tickets today for me and my littlen for Cardiff and Leeds and they refused my card. My card is VISA but they wouldn't accept it. I had to try every option before they accepted it as Maestro instead. Sort it out!
