does anyone out there actually rate this guy?
with all the blaming of fedders going on (and yes two of the goals were at his near post and he was poorly positioned) i think it time it gets noted how appallingly bad Gunnarson is. He gave the ball away twice last night on the edge of the 18yrd box which both times we got punished for, he did the same at QPR and if memory serves correct i think it was boro at home??
the man is totally ineffective and to replace sig with this clown who wasnt even good enough for our first team the last three years is just beyond belief!! the game was over as soon as i saw the team sheet in my opinion, cisse was too busy trying to win the ball back after bryn boobed to be effective!

has never let us down in teh past- but his last two games he has been poor- though without time in the team its perhaps unreasonable to expect him to be on it in the odd games he plays

I thought he made one or two excellent runs in the first half but overall was poor.

Good pro but passed his sell by date.

Bit perplexed as to why Jem has gone from a starter to 5th or 6th choice.

think both bryn and ivar look past it. Ivar looks as though he doesnt play with the same pride or courage that he once did. perhaps that is down to not having a contract he desires!!

i would bring in mills and o'dea cant believe todger thinks our defence is solid. even cisse at centre back would do a sound job imo

Both Bryn and Cisse struggle to be fair.

Never been a fan of Cisse's and think he's far to ponderous at times and the game passes him by. Bryn can do a job for a short while off the bench but his legs have pretty much gone now so he stuggles when the game is at it's quickest.

Having said that, it was Matejovsky who made the critical error in midfield with his hospital ball out to the left that led to their second goal.

I think of Bryn as back-up to the first team, a last resort.
Why we played Cisse and Gunarsson last night is beyond me...

Rightly or wrongly it seems patently obvious to me why we played him. BR looked at Palace and saw they were going to be a rough and tough team and therefore decided that two defensive midfielders would make sense to break up play in front of the back 4.

It may have worked if Fed had not had such a bad day - we will never know. I thought we played well in the first half to recover from Fed's first howler, but then he made a second even worse one and we then gifted them a third and it was always going to be difficult to come back from 3-1.

Solid player but played in a much too defensive line up for a home game. The Sig is on fire so why rest him?

sums up exactly the dire state we are in, we shit ourselves about palolarse and change our formation to play them in our back yard. I fukcing hate John Madwankski and i wish he would take his dodgy syrup and go oxf*rd himself with his overblown ego somewhere else. and if he would take swinescums 2nd rate goalie and Nigle How? (as in ...the oxf*rd is he involved in professional football) with him that would be even better. oh and oxf*rd anyone who even tries to defend the balls up that is RFC at the moment.

everyone out.....who's in?

I think he has been a very good player for us in the past and has scored some important goals ........ Sheffield Utd at home when we went up is a game that sticks in my mind ....... however I do belive that he is a bit old now for the role he is being requested to do. However I also do think that he can be a really handy sub to bring on if the game is getting away from us a bit, with his experience he can be a really asset when we need to sure up the defence for the last 10-15 minutes.

Utterly ridiculous. And never call him a clown. He may be old and slow, but his experience is invaluable. That's why we held onto him, thinking that he could pass on the benefit of his experience to the youngsters.

But he should not be the first name on the sheet.

He had his moments but people get old, get slower, get forgetful.

As we can't install a stannah chair lift in the middle of the park, it seems to be that our resident boris becker impersonator's time in the field is over or at least approaching the end.

For two, maybe three seasons, he was a central squad member for RFC and we should remember that.

being all big and mean, pushing the rules to breaking point in terms of contact, and generally putting their foot in

From the highlights it looked more to me like Gunnar and Cisse were just bystanders cluelessly watching the game than being in place to prevent us getting roughed up.

Karacan and Siggurdsson would have been a million times better. Karacan, Siggurdsson and Cisse might have worked. But two central midfielders who are about as athletic as Thora Heard and the third with all the awareness and passing skill of Tim Nice-but-Dim was never going to work. It would have been hard pressed to contain Rusden and Sodding Diamonds.
