Wakey wakey

by PEARCEY » 15 Aug 2009 19:06

Reality time for everyone. Sure we have some fine youngsters. They play nice, neat football. However we have lost all our main strikers in the past year and brought in Noel Hunt 12 months ago. We desperately need more up-front.
We need more muscle in midfield. We are far too light-weight and naive.
Defensively it has been appalling today. Pearce is a good prospect but club captain before he has even established himself in the side? No chance. He is still learning the game at this level. Surely we cannot afford to sell Bikey after what we saw today.
How many free headers did they get today???
We need a quality striker, a strong physical DM and Bikey to remain at the club...otherwise it will be a long hard season ahead.

Dont worry their will be a beautiful spin story on the official site, maybe smith not being sent off cost us or Newcastle are world class side.

It will put us all at ease come tuesday.

I would hope Rodgers sees this as a reality-check and doesn't try to spin things because we were stretched all over the place and looked very weak in the air.
It was men v boys today.

Madman to take Reading downnnnnnnnnn

by Sir Dodger Royal » 15 Aug 2009 19:34

Maybe the Madman should stop prancing around like a nob on BBC 4 and sort out Reading by showing some real commitment. Instead of milking out the dosh he should support the new manager with some funds. Frankly if Newcastle were a good team they could have scored five or six. It was men against boys and I mean boyssssss.

What an embarrassment RFC has become. Lack of investment got us relegated from the Premiership and lack of investment this year if we are not careful will mean we will be playing Brentford next season. How long has it been since we scored a bloody goal? We have no idea. Just faffing about passing the ball going no where.

Last week two shots and today just a powder puff of an effort in the second half. Reading are going down just like Southampton unless urgent action is taken. These kids have potential but long term potential will not get us in the Premiership this year but we could go down unless some positive steps are taken to improve the side.

Someone ought to tell Long that he is meant to head the ball not catch it in his own penalty area. The RTGs no doubt today thought this was a brilliant perrformance. It was bo***cksand I mean bo***cks.

Sort it or else we will be Swannered next week at the Liberty Stadium. SDR spot on as usual. Real Facts from the Main Man.

Brenda show you have some balls and knock the Madmans door down on Monday. You know it makes sense. SDR is only interested in results. Hungry players are no good if they can't win or score goals. One point out of six is just not good enough.

SDR is not happy. Sort it and I mean nowwwwwwwwwww

We were made to look inexperienced, weedy, and lacking any bite today. Possession is all very well, but we need to rectify these somehow.

keeping the ball is one thing, getting it into the final third is another - through balls and crosses were as good as non existent today. In the first half, I don't think we came out of our own half because most of the time we just wanted to pass the ball around the field. Now if thats a tactic to supposeldy tire out the opposition it doesnt provide entertainment that people pay to watch.I just hope they all get to gether and watch the replay and start learning that the championship is not sunday league football.

First for everything...

by It Is What It Is » 15 Aug 2009 20:13

After 5 weeks of waiting...FINALLY my account got verified on here!

After spending what seems to be ages only being able to look over all the threads on HNA, and getting annoyed with half of you, clapping at what half of what you've said, and laughing at some of the things the weird beards come up with in the rumours bit, i have come to this conclusion....

We lost a game today, big 'wooop', quite a few of you fickle lot seemed to have jumped down either BR or SJM's throats, mainly the latters to be honest just because we lost! YES we need to bring in someone to replace jimmy'donkey'kebe, and YES we need a hitman upfront, but for now we just gotta' stick with what we've got, and get behind the team, loose OR win! If we had won today, only about a handful would have been moaning as much as you are now! Im pretty sure if we steal a late 90'th minute 4-3 win against swansea next weekend we'll all cheer up a bit and all look forward to tommy smith joining us upfront! :L

I'm hoping there arent many spelling mistakes/typing mistakes/ grammer mistakes in here because i know how much you all love to divulge in those kinda things haha!
