Lita makes loan move

by Kieron1981 » 01 Oct 2008 13:26

"Leroy Lita has agreed a loan move to Norwich City on loan until 1st November.

The striker has made four first team outings for the Royals without finding the target this season , and could make his Norwich debut at home to Derby on Saturday."

Cant see him staying after Jan... he will be gone

That yellow kit will go nicely with his boots.

Good for him. He needs to be playing and perhaps he can actually find a bit of form.

Quite pleased about this. Hopefully he can grab a few goals and remind everyone (including himself) of what he's capable of.

I agree that a move away is probably on the cards, and it's a bit of a shame in my opinion. It hasn't worked out, fair enough.

Good luck to him.

even if he does he wont be back... i think thats a clear message that he is no longer in the pecking order

even Long is now before him.

i would say he will be gone January and for about £1.5-2m

A far cry from the 6m being banded around last year, what went wrong for Leroy?

You're prob right, but we all thought that last year when he went to Charlton and he still came back into the team

True, after he did well he came back to stake his claim in the team. this hasnt happened

This is a real kick in the teeth for him, i thinkl he would have given up on Reading now

Shane Long has been around pretty much same length of time as Lita. Why, seeing that Lita has scored more over that period of time, is Long being favoured over him?

Sorry, but Lita has only himself to blame. He isn't a team player, emotionally or on the pitch, hasn't produced the goods consistently and doesn't deserve a place in the team. Good luck to him, but I'm not sorry to see him go - another wage bill saving !!

I think this is best all round - for him and the club.

Why hasn't Long gone out on loan for a month or two?

Lita > Long.

I'd rather have Lita on the bench than Long any day of the week.

And LOL@those thinking we'll get £1.5mil for him in January (should he depart) - £750k is more likely given the size of club that are likely to be interested in him.

Because, when coming on as a substitute, Long is very effective. He forced another goal last night with his direct running and a decent slip through to Cisse, and also won the penalty at Vicarage Road just to name two examples.

Lita's currently offering nothing in all honesty. Long's desire makes him a pretty decent sub.

In February a strikeforce of NHunt, Long and Mooney wouldn't look too convincing.

A partnership of NHunt and Lita could be quite effective IMO.

This is true, but I can't help thinking that it might have helped Long's game more than sitting on the bench does.

Long doesnt just try and score... he assists

Lita is ball gready

Lita seems to be going backwards in his skills...

Long is always learning and getting stronger everytime i see him

Lita seems to disrupt the team more than assist it

Long seems to work for the team, even if that means not getting on the scoring sheet

The forum's text sizer doesn't give big enough options for the "if" that comes along with that statement.
