Which teams do Reading players support?

by comeonthebiscuitmen » 01 May 2007 13:06

This Season our boys have got to play against the teams they've always supported.

3 immediatelty spring to mind.

Murty supports Liverpool (although was injured for the game)
Kitson supports Spurs
Shorey supports Arsenal

who do all the other boys support and have we had any players down the years who are lifelong Reading fans?

Did find it a bit weird that the Sky interviewer asked Kitson what he thought about his goal denting Spurs European hopes!

I don't really like all this business of knowing which Reading player supports which team. In fact, I couldn't care less as long as they play for Reading. Quite why Sky wants to know all this and make a big deal of it, I don't know. Do they inquire of Liverpool players who they really support? How about Manchester United players? I really doubt it and I don't like the implication here.

Well TBF Kitson is the one who made it well known that he was a Spurs fan prior to the game at WHL. Whilst I found it a bit of a weird question it was apt given the current battle for UEFA cup spots.
