Cheer up ROFLeading fans

by floyd__streete » 03 Sep 2013 14:22

Not quite sure why there is so much wrist-slitting tbh. Did anyone really believe that TSI have the funds to throw cash around? Did anyone really believe Adkins claims of wanting to be Champions, 100 goals and 21 clean sheets?

The only thing this club rerally excels in is getting a good price for its saleable assets - fair play to NH - and of course through CMZ's excellent media work we excel in.....spin, which gets the hopes of the gullible up :!:

We have a squad which should be capable of finishing top half at least. We're a centre-half and a centre-forward light but the loan window opens next week.....if you really expected big deals yesterday than you should probably take a good look at yourself

They obviously have some sort of funds if we're paying Pog/Drenthe/Bridge what they're reportedly on, plus fees on top of that.

There are perhaps four or five posters with whom I almost wholeheartedly concur on virtually everything they post - and Floyd is always one of them. Why on earth he gets a bum rap is beyond me.

True.

Thankfully as a result of losing trust in RFC Ive not bought a season ticket in several years so I never got fooled.

But even I managed to believe the spin to some degree

No wrist slitting out of me. We will be fine. We will have some good runs of form when the matchups are good we will be outclassed in stretches when they are bad. I just don't see us matching the ambitions of our manager at the beginning of the season is all. That and being explicitly told we would be bringing in X players and didn't. That was a bit annoying. I guess plans A, B, C and D went down the tubes the last day of the window. I am hoping we have plans E, F, G and H in place.

Plus 1 on the our fans are gullible deluded dodos with stupid expectation levels and an overinflated sense of entitlement spirit of floyd's post.

Yeah, but.... there's not really a moan in that post - for once - just an objective statement of fact (mostly).

Besides, the others I would class in the "interesting/alternative/credible" group are Balti/Facaldaqui/Spizz :o

It's just as well we've got a Billionaire owner and no longer need to sell our players to fill the black hole.

Oh, hang on

type quote here:
no longer need to sell our players to fill the black hole

find translation here:
we no longer need to sell our best players to fill any financial black hole, however we will obviously still need to sell players who no longer wish to be here
