FAO Other clubs supporters

by skipper » 22 Jan 2012 19:12

I'm really sorry we've been bought out - I'm really sorry that your club wasn't picked over us - I'm really sorry we don't quite have the history and distinction that some of your clubs have.

But in our defence, we have been frugal for the best part of forever. We are a well run and maintained club. We are family friendly - and while it lacks rock n' roll, we have had some great recent history - developing some great players from Grass Roots - and been forced to sell!

A lot of your clubs have had your day(s) in the sun, some of your crazy chairmen have refused to sell when they've had their opportunities, or worse, spent money in the desperate attempt to secure more success + financial return.

Please please, Please don't lambaste our club for having enough business sense to remain on an even keel, and be in the right shape at the right time.

Yes I have but nothing there to shout about. I really do not see the need to start a new thread to other clubs about it though!

Already the morons are coming out to play - "Look at all our money WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH". Pathetic. No doubt there will be loads of twatty "We're rich" songs coming out of the east stand next home game. Cringeworthy at best.

Don't worry, we probably won't be buying the League.

I hope not. If the transition is seamless & understated with a few tweaks I will be a happy bunny.

Me too, I've slated enough teams who have tried to just buy instant success and I'm not a hypocrite.

Ha ha 1871 - we commented on how Russian the away strip was yesterday.

Perhaps that's what sealed the deal?
