Yep well done Ian. Longy must have run him close - but best no one else knows about that!

Slating Shane Long worked. Slating Ian Harte worked. Slating Jimmy Kebe worked.

Could next season be a big one for Simon Church? Cummings? Howard? Who else should we rip? I think that we need to turn on Noel Hunt as we'll need a decent striker to fill Long's void should we stay down.

Noel Hunt is a pile of oxf*rd oxf*rd!

I have to say there were times earlier in the season when Harte was so slow that he looked a liability.

But to be fair to him he has just got better and better as the season has gone on and is now a key player for us.

Well done Ian - you deserved the accolade. What on earth were you doing playing in League 1 last season?

I think its fair to say that Ian Harte is still as slow the rest of our elderly defence. But those sweet free kicks are luvverly.

Don't forget Pearce was one of our best players before he got injured and he had got a lot of unnecessary abuse on here in pre-season, you can probably add McDermott into that list too, Cummings has already proved a lot wrong, Howard has had a good season IMO, HRK has got four goals this season from the bench so he could be the next in line to cook up some humble pie for HNA?...

I don't think it ever got so that he was a liability, because we've never let in that many goals, particularly from that wing: it just looked like he was a liability waiting to happen. But he's a clever player. A winger would go past him, which looked bad--but often he would retreat into a covering position closer to the net, so that he was still between the winger and the goal anyway.

Somehow i think this award has been given based on clean sheets kept and the goals.

I doubt many of the panel members actually watch the players in person.

Or know the names of any who've not played in the PL.

oxf*rd church, poor excuse for a footballer, can't run, can't kick, I can't see why he's collecting wages! FFS get rid. etc

I think we also need to say, "Church will NEVER, EVER score 20 goals in a season at Championship Level.

Some really stupid comments about Church - he's scored some cracking goals - really skillful goals on the turn on the edge of the area. He's fast, he's shown that he's got what it takes. The bloke is short of confidence - its not much different to Long at the beginning of the season. I can't see why McDermott and the coaches can't work with him and I'm sure they understand how to motivate someone, just hope that he can respond to it as he's not the finished article yet and he needs to have confidence in order to develop properly.

Glad to see the Player of the Month award hasn't dented Ian Harte's skills. :D

Could turn out to the bargain of the season - 9 goals and the tenth surely not far off!
