Sky have just said 10 days for a sodding appeal!!

The way this is being 'conducted' by the FA is a complete and utter joke!

Originally the hearing was tomorrow and the appeal hearing on the 6th. What has changed!

Didn't QPR ask for more time to prepare their case?

If so, I would suggest it might have been a deliberate and cynical ploy to create the situation we now see, in the hope that the FA will bottle the issue, rather than risk throwing promotion and playoff campaigns into disarray.

The club know the allegations against them, Warnock states he has had chats concerning the allegations so this is as you state possibly an attempt to cause the disruption scare. If QPR's legal representatives have not prepared themselves fully for this knowing the implications then :|

Before you start to froth at the mouth, you might want to consider that what you have written is, to put it bluntly, bollox.

The hearing BEGINS tomorrow and is due to be CONCLUDED on Friday with either guilty/not guilty verdicts on the 7 charges plus what punishments (if any) are to be handed down.

You are totally wrong that there is an appeal hearing on the 6th; how can there be if the hearing hasn't even happened yet?

HTH.

Would prefer a transfer embargo plus a fine for them now rather than a points deduction tbh.

IF found guilty of deliberately falsifying records they should be relegated, preferably two leagues.

Not joking.

^^ quite. And as I said, upon going to appeal maybe they can be re-instated to Championship nothing more.

Why? If they have fielded an ineligible player thats a points deduction. If they tried to cover it all up on top let them hang.
They deserve what they get which I still reckon will be a hefty points deduction.

It's not an ineligible player case, though - it's a player ownership case, for which there are no precedents!

Not in the accepted sense - the charges are quite different, and "ineligible player" charges are brought by the appropriate competition organiser, rather than by the FA.

Does it make the offences less serious then as fielding an ineligible player always results in a points deduction?

It makes them different and without precedent - new rules never been tested in action.

But the "submitting false documents" charge makes me think that if they're found guilty a points deduction is inevitable.

So, Norwich win the title, Cardiff or Swansea for runners up?

I am selfishly thinking of my own team here and who I'd rather face if points reduction means they end up in the playoffs rather than any retribution tbf

Right from the start of this I maintained there was no way, if found guilty, that QPR would be playing in the PL next season. Seems like that view is gathering a bit of support now....

But Ian, Sarah and others, if they do just get a points deduction then the team I would most like to meet in the play offs is QPR. Picking them up after celebrating a win in the League, then losing it, would be a massive job for Warnock.

And let's not forget that, however good QPR have been at times this season, they have been the best team by only a very small factor, and looking at results we actually have a better record over the last 26 games (December to date).

QPR 13 wins, 8 draws, 5 losses

Reading 13 wins, 9 draws, 4 losses

So nothing for Reading to be afraid of anyway, but particularly so after the huge disappointment QPR would have suffered if relegated into the play offs. I really think that would be a massive psychological blow to them. Their minds are already half on their holiday beaches, already anticipating (and spending) the hike in salary they would doubtless get in the PL.

(Anyway, I think they'll get relegated to League 1....)

Can see your point Sarah but as RR suggests QPR in the play-offs may not be so bad albeit we would probably have three small uns in Tabb, Karacan and Howard in midfield because Leigertwood would be excluded.

QPR could equally feel that they are hard done by and come fighting back eager to prove a point, RR & Pearcey. I just remember them playing us off the pitch with 10 men at the Mad Stad.
