Kebe didn't have a great game, but he did get stuck in. (Cisse however realy was almost invisible.)
(Just going by recalling how many times Mrs G and I were screaming "Go Jimmy !" during the game.)

Platypuss And if you've been given a light tickle in the chops but the ref ignores it and play carries on, GET THE FCUK UP, CHASE BACK AND HELP YOUR TEAM.

Heart of a pea - AOA.

That was the really infuriating bit. Bad enough him cocking up such a great chance but to then threaten our lead by going down (and staying down) like a big girl's blouse when he should have been chasing back to help fend off the counter attack like every other one of his team mates was disgraceful.

That obvious instant aside, he did, however, compete and get stuck in a lot more than usual and was even challenging for and winning headers.

Have to disagree with that assessment of Cisse's contribution, although might have agreed real-time. It was only when I watched the game again that I realised just how often he got a foot/challenge in to break up a Liverpool move. Just a shame that some of his distribution was a bit wayward for a midfielder. As someone mentioned a little while back, he really does look more like a defender both in terms of his challenging/ball winning and his less than perfect passing!

Cisse at least put it about but didn't have a good game - he at least had an impact. Kebe was an absolute disgrace, as he has been throughout his Reading career.

Disgrace my arse. He was nothing more than a little mediocre and anonymous.

Dirk Gently
rob the royal Kebe was ok but I reckon he could easily have been a bit more direct with his running - look at how easily Gunnar's was tearing them up!!! But it seemed like he just wanted to try and hang on to the ball for as long as possible when really he could have bagged himself a goal or set someone up.

But when you're winning away with 29 minutes left, hanging onto the ball for as long as possible is a much better tactic than taking a risk that is likely to give possession away.

'greed

and probably what he was told to do, not only that but exactly the same thing we were doing on the other wing too, but no ones moaning at them......

Problem was, in the Liverpool game he DIDN'T keep hold of the ball - He gave it away or ran it into touch whenever he had it!!!!!!!!!!!

Maguire
Ian Royal
Comfortably Numb Just.. what? Cisse was solid last night.

He broke up Liverpool's play quite well, but yet again his control and passing were woeful, constantly giving the ball straight back to them. Easily a 6 still.

OMFG I agree with you.

Kebe is more effective as a sub late in the game when his pace is of help. He and long are ideal subs but probably should not be starting.
