I accept your point about the start of the window versus the end and that players began making contributions from Jan 02, but The 'whole' effect of the window cannot be seen until after it has closed.

The points are just as glum starting from 01 Feb

Middlesbrough 4
Fulham 3
Bolton 3
Sunderland 3
Birmingham 3 (corrected from previous)
Derby 1

Reading 0

'Whole' effect is irrelevant really isn't it? I'd love a bit of 'partial' effect right now.

Me too!

But the bright side is there aren't masses of points being taken from the available 9 points since 01 Feb by the leaders in this 'mini league'!

But then again they haven't played us yet...

Maybe to give it another slant those points could be divided by the amount in millions that was spent in January to see who is getting the most points for their money?

Your figures continue to be skewed by the fact that transfer window signing Prica contributed to a Sunderland win before 1st February, and transfer window signing Steinsson contributed to two Bolton clean sheets before 1st February.

I will be very surprised if Bolton get relegated.

With 10 games left, everyone has some 'big teams'. We have Arsenal, Liverpool, Blackburn and Spurs, for example.

They are better equiped and have more experience than us to deal with the "big" teams.IMHO

Birmingham, Wigan and Sunderland are more likely to go before them.

As they demonstrated yesterday against Liverpool. Started well, conceded a stupid goal and fell to pieces.
