No thread on "Atmosphere" so far., so I'll post the following here: Whilst the "Divers" chant was great and the scorecards brilliant I thought the overall noise was less sustained than earlier games; still brilliant but not the same as Boro/Man C/Man U. Now that may be down to "getting used to the Premiership" or belief that we will stay up making people relax, but I have a sneaking feeling that there were a good number of Chelsea "fans" in the West/Upper West so the overall home support and volume was less...

I was in B14 in the north stand and i have to say that the first i have heard of this "Divers, Divers, Divers" business is in this thread. All I heard was the "Let's all do a Chelsea" chant

Almost exactly the same position and almost exactly the same response to this thread.

Or it wasn't as big a game for a lot of people than the last home game? Next sunday will be back to the normal level.

I like the respect you're giving us  Trying to belittle the Prem champs as you're bitter in defeat.

Nope not bitter. Man Utd are still THE TEAM everyone wants to beat and Arsenal are the biggest club in London, Liverpool would then come in at 3rd with Chelsea at 4th on the list of 'scalps'. Don't get me wrong would have been great to turn Chelsea over but if we could beat any of the toher 3 it would mean a lot lot more.

Think the respect was more from Chelsea to us. Playing against a team who's just got promoted, didn't force our keeper into a single save of note and then celebrate athte end as if it was the Champions League final. Who's cup final was it again?

Harold When you were all singing "Lets all do a Chelsea". Did you mean buy back to back titles?

This jealousy thing is getting out of hand. It's like life, there will always be someone out there who's more succesful and has more money than you.....you just have to accept it and move on.

We had just got back from a sailing holiday yesterday and I toyed with the idea of bringing our snorkels for a laugh.

Wish I had now!

A thread last week included a post with the image of 11 cartoon divers, anyone remember which one?

My daughter (6) is doing a collage (sp?) of the game. She's done the pitch, printed off pictures of 11 Reading players to stick on, just needs the Chelsea 11 now!

a mile from the ground.............and still trying to find my car

I had to laugh when a couple of kids (6 and 8 at a guess) walking with their dad were doing false dives and ballet moves

saying in child-like English..."lets all do a Chelsea"

As I have said on several posts............the result was secondary........10/10 for entertainment

a pity the media cannot focus on things like this
