I don't live in Swindon - Kes likes to joke - have seen a Reading fan in our local High Street though - which is not Swindon either!

Think the oldbiscuit is in an end of season depression, without the things listed you might as well go to a park match. Let's hope the summer away from the Mad Stad will renew everyone's desire, particularly the players who were going through the motions too often and taking the easy option of a square or backward pass.

However, apart from booing, not liking other fans and me getting bored, none of the other mentioned scenario's have a natural place in football.
All the attempts at Family ambience, ''Sweet Caroline', 'Tom Hark', 'Back the Boyz' and other Piped Atmospherics are having an adverse effect on football and driving real fans away. How many people do you know that are not renewing their season tickets, and not because the standard of football has dropped. Groups and friends used to meet up, have a chat and a bit of a laugh whether the game was any good or not, and now those same people are fed up with the plastic carnival that is meant to replace good old fashioned passion.
Reading Town, here I come!
