Wooooaaah! The Kebe could be back soon.

Jimmy Kebe ‏on Twitter:

"First training with the group today since my injury... Such a great feeling to be back on the pitch :-) I missed football so much !!"

Why choose between the two. Lets load up the wings with double wingers& fullbacks. Cede the centre ground, draw the enemy in, encircle and attack!

For me McCleary appears to be more of an inside forward , who can go both ways, whilst Jimmy is an out & out winger -

As previously alluded - would like to see McCleary played in the Sig role, with Jimmy / Jobi out wide...

As annoying as that guise became, I still have to laugh and applaud the dedication it takes to PM someone with that act.

Either way you look at it .......

They are both likely to make an impact coming off the bench for us. I reckon we would probably get more from Mccleary in 90 mins than we would with Kebe and it will take time for Kebe to be fit for 90 mins of football especially at this level.

If we are chasing a game I think it is important we have these two on each wing maybe with Jobi down the centre.

kebe is usually shit off teh bench, and it takes him 2 months to recover fully from any injury- may not get a start all season!

Possibly better to have Kebe on to sub off when he's tired than to have MacLeary on to sub off for Kebe who could potentially also need subbing off if his injury recurs. If that makes sense? Obviously it will require careful management of MacCleary because he's done nothing really to deserve being dropped.

So, you're saying we should play Kebe from the start, because he might get injured if he comes on as sub?

Yes, I'm suggesting that that might be the way to break Kebe back in yes. Although I could be wrong. If you bring Kebe on late for MacLeary there's a chance he may get injured, only just coming back and all, and we may have to use a second sub. If he is on from the start and tires or becomes injured we would only need to use one sub.

Kebe has had problems - particularly last season - with being played before he's fully fit. It just draws out his recovery even further and his quality noticeably diminishes for the weeks following. I say give him at least an other week, especially since McCleary is on such good form.

we should play kebe and mcleary. I know dropping the captain inst always the best thing to do but surely if you have better options you have to consider it as a option?

Not while we don't have a quicker, better left back available. McAnuff didn't create much today, or against Stoke, but he gave Chelsea plenty of scares and he'll do a hell of a lot more defensively than McCleary of Kebe.

McCleary is undroppable - a very lively player who looks like he'll be a real asset this season.

Kebe is very hot and cold, have never really rated him as anything other than a top half championship player. His crossing is far too inconsistent.

However both are currently streets ahead of Mcanuff in terms of ability and potential contribution to the team. Jobi has offered nothing at this level, and today was far and away his worst performance in a Reading shirt. There's only going to be more of the same though - he cannot shoot yet always persists in attempting the impossible highlight goal. Just collect the ball and pass it or make a run, which is what Kebe and McCleary can do.

My worry is McD will drop McCleary to shoehorn Kebe into the team without wanting to drop his captain. It has to be Kebe and McCleary though.

Kebe's defensive game has come on a lot

Jobi just doesn't have the skill to beat a man. If we have to play 4-5-1 and have to play our captain then drop Jem put Jobi in the middle and shift Jimmy out wide

dont create chances, dont score goals

McAnnuff had a poor game against Tottenham today. I still rate him and he has a lot more attacking flair than he's shown this season, so I'd continue to start him for now, but if he has another poor game I would take him off after 60 minutes and pass the armband to Gorkss.
