Ian Royal No, in actual fact I argued we weren't heading for mid-table mediocrity, hence the stick I gave Schards.
At the start of the season I expected us to be in or around the play offs and as the season went on that refined down to just outside in 7th / 8th most likely.
If anyone knows what I thought, you'll find it's me, and not you or anyone else.

It's fair enough to expect results to dip in a period you play three of the best 4 or 5 teams in the division in quick sucession. I can't see us getting a good enough run to get in the play offs, but providing we don't let our confidence and effort disappear we should certainly pick up a few more wins. I wouldn't be surprised to see a late lurch for the play offs that falls short with a couple of games to go.
Falling short with two games to go, means at least 7 points off sixth
(otherwise it's still possible if results go your way)
7 points off 6th place after 44 games was 9th or 10th place. (And that's the highest possible to fall short with a couple of games to go)
9th/10th on GD and no chance, is deffo "mid-table, wouldn't you say?
8 clubs higher, 8 clubs middle, 8 in the bottom third.
