Pepe the Horseman Has be done "well" at Braga though? They're currently 4th. They finished 4th last season. Finished 3rd the season before he took over. Finished 4th the season before that and the season before that... Seems like he's just done what every other Braga manager in recent history has done.

Won a trophy last season, losing in the other final whilst (arguably) matching the clubs best European performance since 2010/11 when they lost in the EL final to Porto, by reaching the QF stage this time around. I mention arguably as they were in the CL group stages in 2012/13, where they finished bottom of the group, which some might perceive as a better European performance due to being in a better competition.

It's a matter of opinion, but I think losing at the Quarter Final stage of the EL is a better European achievement than finishing bottom of a CL group.

I'd say that's doing pretty well for them.

They won the other cup the season before and got to the semis of both the season before that. So again, just carried on where his predecessors left off. Hasn't done badly, has just done the same as everyone else.

All subjective I suppose. I personally think he has done well there, so I'd say the same with his predecessors as well.

From moments today Ince obviously wants the job. Just about getting the club to agree to doing it the way he wants.

Whatever you think of Ince, it was refreshing to see someone connected with the club to call out a lot of the issues we, as fans, have seen for ages.

He *could* actually be the kind of manager we need in charge right now.

Agreed.
He’s in a unique position to be able to do so. He’s got actual experience of working at the club and an interest in continuing to do so. On the other hand he has significant credit in the bank with the club having kept us up and if he doesn’t Stay here it looks like his old lifestyle of playing golf and watching football is one he’s happy with.
Whether the sort of things he can see need doing are affordable this summer is the question. However the number of ex players coming out of the woodwork saying they want to help is encouraging as presumably they are all offering to work for free rather than pitching for jobs (!)

Yeah I like that about him and I liked hearing what he had to say, especially considering he's had a good few weeks to take a view from inside the club.

Obviously being able to rectify those issues is the challenge for him, or whoever will be in charge next season.

What sort of scouting does he do for your cousin?

I like what Ince has been saying this week re the scouting/injuries etc but its whether those above will listen, I fear given their track record they won't.

We need someone like him who can motivate the players and commands respect because of what he's done in the game.
