I work alongside a Plymouth supporter who tells me they knew the deal was done on Friday last week. They believe that this is a done deal so that the club can pay December's wage bill. Their view is that they got a free acquisition due to his bad behaviour at Soton and that we are getting a great deal for a top player so that they don't go broke.

Just be oxf*rd patient. If what's been said by PAFC, Peter Reid and McDermott is true then it'll be a case of the news breaking in the next 24 hours. He's recently had a very bad knee injury, which I'm sure will have had to have been looked at in great detail, hence the delay.

From what I've heard the terms and fee are all agreed and there was some minor medical query that's taking extra time to resolve.

Fordham is only passing on the information given to him by people at the Club or giving his opinion in response to questions asked him on Twitter. The situation is pretty much unique in my time following football in that four days after the selling Club has said the deal is done we are still waiting for the buying Club's confirmation.
As has been said this could be to do with carefully checking an existing injury.
