When Hicks went up... I would think you're probably right about the double counting. That was kinda my point with flu - AIDS can't kill you, it's the secondary infections.

Don't know how this thread turned into a medical debate

(Anyway. AIDS predisposes one to cancers too: doesn't have to be infections.)

Convey left, Cisse and Karacan in the middle with Fae right wing. Kitson and Kebe up front should be interesting as well

That's a very strong stiffs side & Kitson's pressence would tend to indicate he'll be on the bench again on Saturday instead of starting as everyone seems to think.

Although it looks a very strong reserve team, the fact kit's is in it does look like he will only be on the bench for Saturday, which is obviously a bit of a downer.

The best piece of news on that article comes at the bottom:-

'Glen Little could play for the reserves away to Fulham in a week's time'

Really hope so as I looking forward to seeing Blakey back and the fact the game is just around the corner from me is an added bonus.

Could it not be 90 minutes "match sharpness" ahead of a start on Saturday?

I do hope so.
Can we really afford to use our best player just as a sub?

Whilst I also think he is our best player, the team has rediscovered some form since he was dropped to the bench.

Its about the team rather than just Kitson, we work better with long and doyle up front with Kitson coming on with 30 minutes left

I suppose you must believe that to have posted it.
We lost v Liverpool.
We only scored v City when they had no centre-backs left.
We scored v 'boro after the Doyle/Long partnership had been broken up.
Hardly convincing evidence.
Aren't you the bloke who runs James Henry's fan club?
'nuff said.

First of all, Long was the one who scored against CIteh

Secondly, the Kiston Doyle partnership wasn't great against Bolton and the numerous games leading up to it

Thirdly, yes i do believe Henry should get a go on the bench because he offers something different.....Freddie Sears had played only 6 reserve games, and scored 3 goals in them before he got a go on the bench and look how that turned out.....but then i also believe that Karacan and Pearce should be on the bench....call it a 'Youth Player fan club'

Then again, Kitson scored against them too.

Kitson has scored more goals than anyone in the team. Why is he on the bench?

Because in the few games leading up to when he was dropped he was playing crap

Noone has a god-given right to be in the team, and copps was showing that

You're calling Shane Long fat? Have you seen him run?

Im more confident about Fae now then I was 3 months ago. I seem to remember one of our coaching staff saying he was “flying” in training and he was definitely going to be on the bench for the boro game. I think he could make an impact. The 2 league games I remember him starting (Bol and West Ham), he played okay, considering the circumstances (out of position and first games in new country).

I have always thought he will come good, and hopefully next season he will make a big impact just like Drogba did in his 2nd season

i always thought the fans, and the club to some extent were guilty of wanting him dumped in the reserves too soon, the guy is young in a foreign country that speaks a language he doesnt, and plays football in a way he is not accustomed to, and mostly on the RW, where he wasnt comfortable either.

matejovsky has benefitted from a run in the team, and im sure fae would have too,
