tbh i hate all of this bullshit that is going on. players being dropped for fake injurys, players having rows with mcdermott, players speaking out against the owners, etc. this isnt the reading that i know. maybe the premier league isnt where we belong...even thought i love being there if the sacrifice is all the turmoil that is going on within the club then maybe it isnt worth it.

I take it Kebe is going to have to apologise and be dropped for this candid but fair assessment, just like Guthrie did when he tweeted something entirely reasonable towards the start of the season.

Avon Royal I think it's because everybody knows that Brian's position has become completely untenable.

He's lost the dressing room, he's lost the fans. he's lost the media.

He wont quit because he wants his payout - time for AnJon to step up to the plate and put him out of his misery.

when you say everybody knows, you mean some people think

you know oxf*rd all about the dressing room- the only dressing room problem i KNOW of is guthrie

and if there was one man honourable enough to quit if it was right, without thought of his pay off, its mcdermott

Everybody knows Brendy. Some may not want to face up to it, but deep down they know.

Wimb
melonhead tbf to him i stopped reading anything he said after he was appalling for all of last year and longer

perhaps he has improved and i have done him a huge disservice

im mjust glad he has champions like you to put me right

Does that mean I get some sort of badge as defender of the Fordham ;)

If you don't like him fair enough I was just curious to see if you had any actual rational behind it that you could back up, or if you were just slagging him off for the sake of it.

No, but you will probably get another mention on the next podcast.

What grounds do you have for saying that?
I would suggest that Brian, like any sensible person and for the sake of his family, would try to get as much as he can as severance pay.
This bloke is not an altruistic saint-nice fella and all that but he is much less naive than you are.

I joined in the weekly evening post webchat today and I asked JF about tactics in the wake of Gary Neville's analysis the other night - he said its on tomorrow's list for his Hogwood chat with McD after training - be interesting to see what gets printed off the back of that.

I don't know it, I certainly wouldn't have a problem facing up to McD's position becoming untenable and I think you're talking bollocks.

If this doesn't happen, it will look like favourtism and I certainly won't be supporting a manager who will not treat the players equally.

Royal Biscuitman Another link to the article, Definitely worth a read.

This is why he doesn't give interviews. It's quite fun to imagine the media guy/gal cringing in the background.

I have to admit that I was very impressed with the way Kebe came across. Calm, matter of fact, deeply pissed off and desperate for the club to improve. Can't fault any of it.

Kebe is our Messi Agree johnny is a good guy and knows his stuff. Cant stand the official site and always get my info from johnny.

And also well done Jimmy, spoke his mind and spoke of everyones mind by the looks of it. The team we have now isnt good enough, and mcdermott did his best with the small kitty he had to spend. Tsi are fully to blame in my opinion.

Not trying to pick an argument but I'm genuinely interested in this.

I was one of the fiercest of Madejskis lack of balls and battled long and hard with the Rectum Crew, placing the blame squarely on the doorstep of the board, and rightly so. So I would normally be the first to blame the board again but is there something bigger were not getting this time? Yes Madejski might've bottled it, and did the honourable thing by letting go, but presumably Anton is young and fresh and genuinely does have a long term plan for Premiership survival or he'd have not bought in. If TSI feel it's not right to spend millions to keep us up then for me that's sort of good enough. Sad, because I would like to see instant success, but probably more realistic if it means we have to build up a cat1 academy and bigger stadium etc etc first. Sir John mightve been getting old and tired and disinterested in RFC and might've been leeching funds from this RFC for other ventures (I say *might*) but Anton has no reason not to spend. I just seem to have more trust in TSI...

This is what I mean. Deep down you must know his position is untenable - you just can't/won't face up to it. Nobody in their right mind could look at the current clusterfuck situation he has created and think "yep, he's up to the job".

Archie's penalty Who is Craig Mortimer?

No-one in Reading, as I think we've debated at length.

No, I mean he's literally lost the dressing room - he's forgotten where it is and is therefore unable to give any pre-match teamtalks, hence all the players running around totally devoid of any tactics or plan.
