Even his goodbye letter on the OS is typical Ivar. Understated and succinct.

Reading through this thread has made me miss that team. How good it was!

Toon Toon Blue army That Ivar goal v QPR was on bonfire night, that game really does stick in the memory, one of my favourite away days. In fact quite a few of Ivar's goals have stuck in my memory. Late goal v Swansea then late goal v Ipswich the week after. The one against Man City too in the Premiership.

That goal v Swansea is one of my favorite ever goals for sheer pottyness that followed

Legend is a word too easily dished out, so instead the 1 word I'd use to describe his time with us is "hero"

Tatty bye you legend! At specific points when we gain or lose players and the team changes, this I feel is another. The timing is spot on, and we are ushering in the McDermott era, how ever frugal we will continue to be, I'm sure Brian will get the best out of them.

Thanks for the service, I would like to think you enjoyed your time here, more than any other club, we loved you.

When is the testimonial match?

Like many others, I will miss Ivar terribly. Never, ever let us down. A true star, never to be forgotten.

Was he at Wembley? I don't remember seeing him on the pitch at the end. I hope we will see him soon at the Mad Stad.
