United need a right Royal performance this evening if they are stay in the top six against a Reading side who are in red-hot form having won their last eight league games. It’s time for the players to stand up and be counted and prove they are good enough. We’re not talking last chance saloons, but defeat could see us drop out of the play-off places for the first time since November. O’Brien must be replaced by Bruce and Howson played in the right position. I can only see an away win. Prove me wrong Leeds!
Prediction: United 1 Reading 3

Leeds enter the weekend with the play-off position in their own hands, whether they exit the same way is debatable. I can’t make a case for us to end Reading’s eight-match winning streak other than our creditable sequence of unbeaten home games. The opposition are lightning quick on the break and the thought of Kebe roaring past McCartney like Speedy Gonzales is giving me nightmares. A Friday evening, televised game will mean a poor crowd but those in attendance, particularly in White shirts, must rise to the occasion.
Prediction: United 1 Reading 3

United, who have only won once in their last six, face a Reading side who have won their last six and are flying. Leeds are leaking goals left, right and centre and need to find the stop tap if they are to retain their play-off spot, but Whites fans know that season run-ins are tense and nerve-wracking and this season will be no different. Mr Grayson may have some difficult decisions to make – and he usually isn’t afraid to make them. Let’s ruin the Royals’ ascent and notch up three precious points.
Prediction: United 3 Reading 2

It’s with an air of trepidation that we approach tonight’s game against bang-in-form Reading. The Royals arrive on the back of eight successive victories and include in their ranks Jimmy Kebe, a man who could race pigeons – and win! At present it’s debatable what will come first, a clean sheet for United or a goal for Fernando Torres? A much improved defensive showing is a necessity if United are not to drop out of the play-off places for the first time in nearly five months. The heart says a win but the head says otherwise!
Prediction: United 1 Reading 3
