Ian Royal I take it Kebe played well again tonight.

What we really need is a way to convince him we're at home when we go away.

We could try booing him, I guess.

We'd need the home fans to co-operate for that to work.

IMHO Jimmy Kebe is shite, a few runs every now again is not enough and away from home he's pathetic. However it looks like we have no other options, so it's upto Kebe to prove himself before the Jan sales.

A poster in the Evening Post compared him to Gilkes, well for me that's an insult. I imagine this poster also rated Mass Sarr.

There is one truly tragicomic things about Oster.

He improved right at the end of the last season, put together a bit of form ...

And the club let him go on a free.

There's this thing called the loan market that Coppell has said he would use this year if needed. I see absolutely no need to replace Kebe at the moment as he offers a decent threat down that flank and his link up play with Rosenior is improving.

Most players have been pathetic away from home according to most so not really a fair stick to beat him with, whilst at home he has looked lively and caused fullbacks problems or more than one occasion. Now if he can just find the net soon, I think his confidence would improve no end.

Shouldn't be a problem on Saturday, it was like a library the last time I went to Vicarage Road!

That's nonsense brendy. Gilkes had far more end product than some give him credit for, he was massively important at Reading, 400+ games in a few positions. Gilkes is more similar to S Hunt in many ways than Kebe.

and

A lot less attempted crosses ending in row Z (or the Elm Park equivalent, the Tilehurst End Programme Shop)

same buzz when he gets the ball, the same sigh of frustration when things don't quite go as planned.

the same sense of panic caused to poor defences.

I'd say that, currently, comparisons with Gilkes weren't too far off the mark.

Sorry, where is the similarity between Gilkes and Hunt?

Work rate? Hunt probably chased and profited from more lost causes on Tuesday than Gilkes did in most seasons at Reading.

Attitude? How many times did Gilkes go missing in a game when things weren't going his way?

Finishing? (Yes I know that SHunt isn't exactly wonderful)

Use of the ball after his typical "head down, knock the ball ten yards past the full back and run like hell" run?

Sorry, can't see it myself - Gilkes only started being a consistent performer when his head got used to how fast his legs could go - which was probably when Branfoot started playing him in a deeper role.

ohh 22 pages, lets wait till a poor performance from him on Saturday to add 5 more, followed by a good performance the following week to add 2 more pages..most of the tossers on here like to single out players and just wait for them to have stinkers, its always happened and it will continue long after Kebe as left.

Kebe is no where near as fast as Gilkes. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Hunt is faster than Kebe, so for me AP is closer to the truth than brendy.
